A really nice place with very friendly staff. Unfortunately the bakery was closed and we couldn't visit. My kid was super excited to see the windmill up close and also go inside upto the first floor :-)
Excellent bakery at Woosters. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic, fully working, small tower mill to be found at the heart of Bardwell village. Milling on-site here has a long history, thought to have begun in 1283. The last mill to be built here was in 1823, to the tower style, in black tarred brick with white sails. Bardwell Mill was previously ruined by gale force winds, but is now fully restored & milling flour again in the traditional stoneground way...
A fantastic example of a working tower mill. The volunteers are very knowledgeable about this mill and it's history.
Absolutely love this place, I wish I could give 100 stars! A real hidden gem ????????
It's truly wonderful to see such a beautiful windmill in a special village.
Be sure to go to Wooster's Bakery whilst you are there too - how bread should be! ????
One of my favourite places in the UK, it's definitely worth a visit - my review and pictures online don't do it justice!
