Best KPortal Reviews

For the reason I type this review is that, I've decided to return to this orthodontist 10 years later. Coming here was always enjoyable. While my age mates were sat in class, I was out in the City tightening braces!
I had an highly-skilled & luminous blue eyed technician, circa 2013.
Thanks again - changed my life.
I have been attending this clinic for braces for almost two years. During my appointments for tightening, I've noticed a lack of communication from the staff. They rarely explain the procedures or any changes made to my treatment - or even how long I have left, which can be quite frustrating. However, they are always sure to tell you the same generic advice to have a paracetmol after tightening, like I don't know the mode of action of a painkiller. However, I still give the clinic three stars because, overall, they provide an adequate service. It's worth noting that this issue with communication isn't unique to my experience, as other reviews seem to have similar feedback. Also, if you're trying to call them after 12pm, be prepared for it to go straight to voicemail, as getting through can be challenging.
P.S. I would ALWAYS second guess the clinicans in this clinic. Initally, I would only supposed to have treatment on my lower teeth, and they put braces on both above and below. While I'm not expressing complaint about this outcome, the divergence raises the concerns about the clinic's adherence to protocols, especially considering my treatment was funded by the NHS. I am surprised that the NHSBA/CQC or Dental Council haven't taken action about this practice.
Plus, my first treatment, a brace broke about an hour after the treatment. Having had my dentist look at it, they thought it was illogical of how the dentists applied the braces and shouldve applied a coil spring to make space first (which they later did).
I won't call the dentists incompetent here as they've been fine past the 3rd-or-4th appointment, but they seriously need some CPD or further training on how to communicate with patients and record-keeping.
I attend this clinic out of necessity, as was the available one for NHS treatment and can't change past referral, but if you have a choice to change, ask your personal dentist to refer you somewhere else.
Im so disappointed in the lack of service and feel terrible that I have been sending my son here for his braces. Something is broken and sticking out of the brace. I have called for days to get him to see someone and there is no answer or response to the messages I leave. Totally disgusting service. I am worried his teeth will not be a good job especially as I have now seen these reviews. There are other local practices that are far more superior. Unfortunately I now have to take him private because treatment has already started at this diabolical place.
Disgusting service, staff are unbelievably disrespectful and lazy. Been a patient since pre lockdown, they fit poor braces that constantly break, I’ve woken up numerous time to a mouth full of blood as from how poorly fitted the wires in my braces were. They also cancelled my treatment too early, resulting in me having to go through the process again. However now that I’m 18 they insist I must pay, otherwise they’ll refuse to see me. It’s been 6 months, I cannot talk and I can barely eat as my mouth is filled with broken metal and my wounds have become infected. I’ve called emergency services many times and they’ve constantly dismissed me to go and get the braces removed at my orthodontist. My teeth are my biggest insecurity, what will it take for them and dentists in general to do their jobs? Suicide? Does someone have to end their life for them to do their jobs?
Very bad manners and so very unprofessional English receptionist. She is rude, has no please and thank you. Also they are so crooks charging £100 for extra retainers .Not only that..you also have to buy retainer containers. Now they are training new receptionist..China country of origin.
Hopefully she can learn to be mind and polite. They need to get rid of her...she souls rude and look seire.God knows how did she got the job.????????
Today 14/10/20 had an appointment with the orthodontist and through all my appointments I've had with him I've come to realise that the service from him is very unprofessional and unhelpful ! which is very worrying for other patients. I am not happy with my whole two years treament with this clinic because my braces were taken off too early when they should of known that my back teeth still needed to be fixed due to that I had to come back to the clinic again and this time he didn't let me finish my sentence or explanied the reason on my issue also didn't advise me on how to take care of my new braces. This is very stressful for me starting again with the treatment.
Because I used to always break one of my brackets she would get mad and last time she said if u break it again I will cancel the whole treatment , I was super upset because my teeth was one of my biggest insecurities , I used to get bullied bc of them. And if she cancels the treatment my teeth will go how it was before . I try my best to not eat anything hard or open stuff with my teeth . Hope this helps you guys
Had a very pleasant experience at this Orthodontist , staff were very busy but still professional and friendly , especially the receptionist Claire who helped with before and after questions regarding my sons newly fitted brace , Thankyou
