Went there yesterday for lunch, 3 of us…I ordered special off board ..sorry not available, so ordered 2 x breakfast came with mushrooms which were not on menu.. one of us is highly allergic to them …2 x things now wrong..food was cold, but tasty , then we ordered 2 x orange juices which were included on breakfast menu…came back…sorry we don’t have any orange juice.
Is this a sign of incompetence or a sign that there are struggling to buy supplies?
Have been here several times over the past 2 years and never been disappointed, until now. This place has obviously changed hands recently and the new owners are failing miserably. All day breakfast is no longer offered. Advised when we looked at the menu that there were no sausages, chips or bacon. Eventually ordered 2 fish finger baguettes and 2 tuna and sweetcorn baguettes. 45 minutes later, after complaining to the waitress, our food was delivered. Wish I'd taken a photo of the fish fingers, no idea where they got them from but they were brown in the middle. Couldn't eat any more after that.
I don't often leave negative feedback but felt I had to in this case to warn others. My sympathy goes out to the poor waitress who had to keep apologising on behalf of the owners.
Had a fantastic Sunday lunch today homemade Yorkshire puddings.loads of well cooked veg.and a fantastic home made apple crumble

Turned up for Paul's fish on a Friday to be told he is no longer there.
Not a problem I thought but how wrong was I, The service was shocking, I had to ask 3 times for my drink, the cutlery was grubby and when the food turned up there was grease on the plate and the chips were warm at best. I have to say at this rate the bar will close which will be unfortunate.
Average standard coffee. Didn’t really feel like a welcoming atmosphere when ordering, in fact almost like it was an inconvenience to have to come to the bar to serve me.
Would not make my list is spotlessly clean places.
