Only a small car park at the bottom of a big hill, can imagine this is very busy in summer, this was Feb and we still had to wait for a space! Worth it for the beach, which was a fantastic stretch of sand, great for the dogs, there is a cafe, toilets and hotel in the immediate area.

Beautiful area. Car park at the bottom is a dream !! So close to the sea.

Also the coffee shop is ACE!! cake and a hot chocolate over looking the sea???? beach is dog friendly too with NO restrictions - as long as you clean up after them

Visited at the beginning of November, so, out of season.

Even so the quietness was magical with the background of lapping ocean on the beach.

Close to Runswick Bay beach which is a great spot to visit. Care shop and toilets. The car park is often full so plan your visit. The walk down from the village is very steep.

Or, take the Whitby bus (£2 flat fare) and walk from here or Hinderwell (start from St. Hildas) along the Cleveland way to Staithes which is very pretty and also has a beach, then take the bus home.

Runswick Bay one of the prettiest little harbours you can visit. Access down a steep hill to a decent size carpark with the usual parking charges. Lovely sandy beach and a nice cafe sit inside or out. Simple choices prepacked sandwiches ,sausage rolls, takeaway coffee or tea . A most beautiful location .

Annoying that this car park doesn't take cards, as although you can pay on an app, there is no phone signal, so lots of visitors were struggling. Shame because this beach is absolutely stunning.

Lovely coastal area, beautiful beach cove. Lacking amenities. Cant buy a coffee after 3pm, no fish and chip either.

North Yorkshire coastline..... say no more, gorgeous!
