Midweek visit for two , early evening. Not busy.
Starters: Garlic mushroom and chicken wing starters.
Mains: Two Chicken skewers with chips.
This is the 3rd time we have visited the Babylon.
Fantastic service, excellent meals served hot.

We found this place by chance to escape from the pouring rain, but we felt so lucky once we ordered! The food was so delicious, the atmosphere was very authentic, the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered Turkish meatballs and pizza- all turned out really amazing. We also had cheesecake- it was so delicious that I only remembered to take its photo when we ate half of it. :) Absolutely will visit again!
We came to york all the way from Birmingham to have a little break and see the Christmas markets. By the time we had arrived a lot of the food on Christmas Market were closing so we decided to wonder around and see what we could grab to eat at almost 8pm! Stumbled across this place and must say what an absoutley little gem it is. From the decor creating a cosy atmosphere and the food was just unreal. The price was reasonable and delicious from every bite start to finish. We are food critics and have ate at many Michelin star restaurants and can honestly say this is very tasty food and authentic. The staff were super friendly, very welcoming and engaging. Would highly recommend ???? this place needs needs more recognition, it really was superb. We would definitely return.
Fantastic food here. As I'm gluten intolerant, it's not always easy to find really nice food when out and about. To be able to have gluten-free garlic bread and a lasagne was great. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend.
Incredible halal food and lovely servers. The owner himself came out to speak to me about my dietary requirements. Highly recommend the chicken gyro- wonderfully fresh and tastes amazing!
Called here for lunch yesterday when wandering around York with the kids. Had a wonderful meal. Gyros were lovely and the kids enjoyed the proper pizza's! The only thing we did not like was the compulsory service charge added onto the bill. This is something that grinds on me. We are always happy to tip if the service is good, but being forced to pay a service charge is not something we are used to.
Perfect taste and very kind personel. The owner is from Turkey. We liked pizza and chicken gyro. Size is more than enough! The atmosphere is fine. The only downside side is service fee . I personally do not like having it on my bill as default
I went here last week for a birthday meal and it was great! Great service, pretty environment and very friendly staff! We were welcomed and seated pretty much as soon as we walked in and the waiting time for the food was decent! Zara who was serving us was lovely, such a great service! We weren’t waiting too long and the food was also really good. The burger I had was delicious and the fries were good too! I especially loved the little pot of sauce that came with the meal! The meal was also beautifully presented! Very friendly and welcoming place that serves really nice food! Definitely recommend :)
