Meh, it’s all I can really say. Don’t know if I came on a bad night or if it’s always like this, but only one waitress (who done a super job keeping up with the full dining room, deliveries and the phone).
Positives:
- Complimentary half bowl of soup whilst you wait
- Server done an absolutely amazing job looking after whole dining room herself whilst also doing the drinks, clearing empty plates and tables, delivery orders and managing the phone.
- nice enough dining room with plenty of big tables
- food was delicious
Negatives:
- only 1 server to do absolutely everything on a busy Friday night. That’s madness
- drinks missing from the menu
- ordered hummus that comes with bread. Bread never came and due to how busy server was, took a while to ask where it was. That’s when I found out they had ran out of bread. Server asked if I wanted something else instead to her credit, but not ideal.
- took 40 minutes for food to arrive
Had a lovely late lunch from here yesterday. Complimentary soup was yummy. Sharing starter platter was excellent with amazing falafel and hummus. One of the best mixed grills I’ve ever had, the meat was very succulent and juicy, compliments to the chef! Bread was hot & fresh too. Staff were friendly and attentive and the decor was really nice. Would definitely come back! Only improvement to suggest would be more hot meze options, but overall still a 5 star experience meal. Will definitely be back.
The grilled chicken needs a microscope to see it, and it comes alone without french fries or anything. I don’t think I can repeat the experience, and the price is not cheap Just a little salt

Several times at Babylon Cafe, the only Iraqi food restaurant in Glasgow. It was so good. It was really good and friendly staff. Shame to know that it's close down
For starters we had a mixture of eggplant, salad & humous with bread.
For the mains we had a variety of meat dishes, my favourite was the koubideh kebab.
Friendly customer service & clean washrooms.
Came for lunch with 2 work friends and it was fantastic. Really lovely and super waitress. Food was fantastic and they gave us complimentary soup, bread and tea. The chicken shawarma was best I have ever had. AMAZING.
Delicious Arabic food, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, reasonable price. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Glasgow.
