AVOID AVOID AVOID like the plague! These blokes are con artists posing as mechanics! I took my car to them as recommended via a warranty company, they did the diagnostics and “repaired” the car and charged a rather premium price to fix the issue (which we paid without haggling).
All done, right? Car is returned back to us with the initial problem gone however there is now a prominent shake to the car, called them and got it booked again, they said it’s because we let the fuel drop low a few times and gave a liquid to put into the car prior to fuelling.
Surprise surprise, their fob off method lasted a full 2 days. Took it back to them again, they then charged an extortionate amount due to some apparent misfiring cylinders. Paid that and 3 days later the shake returns, at this point I have given them upwards of £3000 and the car has never been worse.
In the end, they were just fobbing off, giving appointments at ridiculous dates and times & WORST OF ALL - they take zero accountability. If you are a dreadful mechanic, no problem! Everyone starts somewhere, just be honest, hold some accountability and we can work something but nope!!
So we cut our losses and went to a real mechanic. Unless you want be forced to sell your car, I would stay away from these crooks.

Always very happy with the team at Autoelite. My car is serviced and MOT’d there every year. I am always informed of any repairs and costs prior to doing them, so no surprises when it comes to settling the bill. Efficient and polite team. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I just put my corsa in today and they always accommodate me. Friendly and fair, definitely recommend to all those women who fear being overcharged. They've even test driven my car for me when I've turned up on the spot in a panic .Wouldn't go anywhere else even though I've moved 30 miles away!
Known Armando and Mark for over 20 years, since starting Autoelite, my cars and van, and my other halfs cars have never been anywhere else. Good advice when looking to buy my M3 and has always gone above and beyond to source parts & services, ie bodywork, wheels, wheel refurbs, tyres. Cars are looked after well and a good job, is always carried out.

I have just spoken to the owner of Autoelite and have adjusted my review. It turns out that the quotes for work are prices set by Fixter, not the garage (despite fixter telling me the opposite!). This garage would have quoted me much less, and Fixter inflate the price to make money for themselves. This is a lesson for myself to not book through a third party and go directly to the garage themselves. I have apologised to the owner for the miscommunication, and wish them all the best with their business going foward.

Wouldn't go near this garage again. Booked an MOT via Fixter and this was the allocated garage. My MOT failed and this garage quoted me nearly £400 for the work that needed doing. One call to my local mechanic and he told me the parts were £7 each online, and this garage was vastly overcharging for this.
The garage also said my headlights were misaligned, so wanted to charge me £100 for new bulbs (which were working fine) and mechanical polishing of the headlights (which wouldn't fix the problem, and is totally unnecessary). Picture of said headlights attached - doesn't look like it needs polishing to me!
I have phoned and reported this garage to Fixter, and urge people to think twice before using them unless they want to pay an extortionate amount for unnecessary work.
Fleet vehicle booked in for a standard service with courtesy car provided. No reception area left me wandering around to find them to drop the vehicle in. Very polite. Courtesy car provided (2007 BMW with 216k on the clock) was unclean inside and out (just after lockdown when we are all supposed to be super careful), controls sticky to the touch and smelt strongly of dog. >>>
Telephoned to say my car was ready to collect. I arrived 30 mins later to see it being driven away. Apparently to be taken for cleaning. 30 minutes later it was brought back. Very clean inside and out. Next morning I realise my wheel nuts have visible colour bleaching on them on 3 wheels and are missing from the 4th. I contact to ask them to look into it and provide photos. 4 hours later they respond to say it wasnt them but they can sell me new ones. I am always keen to support independent businesses but in this instance I cannot endorse them and would not return.
Couldn’t have asked for a more helpful garage to sort my car. Knowledge and customer service on point. Will definitely be back again. Thanks guys
