We booked a table on a wild and stormy night.
The staff were absolutely wonderful, so friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious, we all had the salmon, served with potatoes and broccoli.
The bread and butter pudding and custard for sweet was excellent.
The decor is superb inside and very comfortable.
Good visibility to see the coast and beyond too.
I thoroughly recommend this venue.
Dining at the Atlantic Hotel in Porthcawl was a fantastic experience, especially for our big group of 14. The service was top-notch, with every staff member making us feel truly welcomed. The food was even more impressive, delicious in every bite and clearly made with care. Our meals were perfectly complemented by a great selection of cold beers.A special shoutout to Connor, the bar staff member, who was simply incredible. His service truly stood out and made our evening even more enjoyable.The hotel also offered beautiful views of the Porthcawl seafront, which added to the lovely atmosphere. We all left feeling very satisfied and already looking forward to our next visit to enjoy the great food, service, and views again.
Visited the restaurant for lunch. Beautiful setting overlooking the sea. Modern seating and decor. Staff were very friendly and offered a lovely table where we watched the sun setting. The food was superb and homecooked. Big portions. Definitely recommend the apple crumble! Overall very tasty and will definitely return.
I’ve just come from a surprise birthday party in the Atlantic, and I can honestly say that never have I ever eaten so much at a buffet! It was stunning,- freshly cooked, and so much variety that every taste was catered for; I would say it was the best buffet I’ve sampled for many years, and I’m quite picky! The service was exemplary, and I should like to give my utmost thanks to the staff concerned, really well done, -thank you, and I’ll certainly be back with friends to sample a meal!
Took my late partner there for some food and a few glasses of wine end of last year. Food was stunning and the staff were lovely. And as all locals know the walk home along the seafront was the perfect ending to the evening.
We came here on New years day with our daughter and dog ( the weather was atrocious and we just needed to get out ) we had a delicious meal , so we came back in Feb half term, this time with both our daughters and our mums ( and dog) we all had a lovely meal , my mum has Alzheimer’s and has a very poor appetite , but the chef was very accommodating and plated her some fish bites and chips ( which wasn’t on the menu ) , we have had the steak , cod , salmon , gammon and more! and everything has been hot and delicious , we have since been back a few times on a Saturday afternoon, it is such a calm , warm , welcoming place , I highly recommend it , the staff are very friendly and helpful too, oh and the coffee and cake is also delicious ☺️
Warm uncomfortable however Sunday lunch very overpriced for what it was. Small piece of chicken stuffing the size of a 50p piece quarter of a carrot and quarter of a parsnip +1 roast potato cut in half. Had to share one small tray of vegetables between three people. Only one vegetarian option with extraordinarily salty gravy inedible. Sadly won't be returning they need to look at their portions and prices..
Very good service from Claire and her team including Yulia at The Atlantic Hotel. Thank you for looking after us so well at a recent function we held with you. Great advice and lovely food served. We able to stay as long as wanted too without being rushed. Would highly recommend .
