First class service. Kept me up-to-date with the progress of the work carried out and I was able to book my car in the following day for other, urgent work.
Bit of a crook - told him what i needed doing ( as i already got a computer reading from another garage who told me it could take up to 6 weeks to get a part from my 2004 Honda and i don't want to wait) and he told me he would still need to charge me £48 simply to plug his device into my car for 3 minutes to get a reading. Tried to justify it by saying it was a costly device! Won't be giving then any future business that's for sure!!!!
Reply to owner: Sophia is my daughters name ! Your not the sharpest knife in the drawer are you ? You can do your own diagnosis but i shouldn't have to pay you £48 for 3 minutes work. Avoid if possible especially for MOT they will most ALWAYS find a fault.
AVOID This place at All Costs. Spent thousands there with 2 cars. I had a problem with one of the cars that I had just spent over £800.00 on 3 months before. I got there at opening & they couldn't even make an effort to help me they acted like the 3 months was Years Ago & that the problen was Not related without even checking it. The Owner was the same way instead of standing behind Their work & the treatment of Their Clients. I was lucky We found a Reputable Mechanic Business That Appreciates the Business We give Them & stands behind the work they do & Charged way Less than this place. I didn't realize I was being Charged More than other places charged for the same thing.
I waited over a 1 Year to post this review as I was so upset at the treatment by Ashby Auto couldn't Care Less Attitude.
I like Ashby auto care. They are very good and very professional.
Had my car MOT here and my tyres needed changing and headlights. The price they offered me to replace my tyres were well overpriced so I would recommend sourcing your own elsewhere. I had my headlights replaced here so I could then get a free re-MOT on my vehicle and the mechanic didn’t know how to change the headlight. He suggested taking my car apart to replace the headlight that needed replacing as he couldn’t reach from the bonnet. This would have added more labour and more cost than necessary. I showed him how to change my lights and waited until it was ready. I was still charged £40 for a change of headlights (which they didn’t know how to do). Wouldn’t recommend this place.
Lovely staff! Got me in at short notice and even when my car failed on few things. They were quick and efficient and I was back on the road the next day! Great price and amazing service :)! Thank you !
Always courteous and reliable and ring with estimate before they do any work . I would recommend them , they have always done a great job on my car and feel they are reasonably priced . I don’t feel patronised as a female which some garages still have a tendency to do !!
Excellent service and MOT on my old Honda Civic. It isn't worth paying the main dealer price for servicing anymore so I've been trying various local services/garages for the last 3-4 years. After the service from Ashby Auto Care the car is running better than at any time during that period; and all for a reasonable price too.
