Was here for radiology and lab work. Showed up for registration and also did a preregistration over the phone the week prior. Got lab work done then went to radiology. The girl at the desk was really rude. She had an attitude and spoke to me like an idiot about not having paperwork from registration like it was my fault. Questioning me if I went to the registration up front, which I told her twice yes I did. Not my fault someone didn’t do their job. Tired of these medical workers with attitudes towards everyone…and than they wonder why they have to put up don’t be abusive to healthcare workers every two inches on the wall.
I took my son in to be seen this last Saturday cause he had an accident while he was playing, we was told "He just sprained his arm he'll be fine", I didn't trust there judgement an we got a second opinion, his ELBOW IS BROKEN, thank God for mid Michigan health for actually treating my child. Do not bring yourself here or you're children. I will be going up there to say something as well as this. If they can't treat a child they can't even treat an adult.
Recently seen an ear nose and throat specialist for my 14 year old. Doctors office was so with it i first went to the wrong suite as all their previous contact said suite 201 and it was actually suite 200 i needed. The office staff was nice enough. My real problem came in with the doctor himself. By far the nastiest man i have ever met. The minute he walked in he started asking questions but wouldnt stop talking over me and cutting me off in the middle of trying to answer him. He examined my son from across the room and, in my opinion based his diagnosis of my son solely on numbers in his chart before he ever even looked at him. Ive been everyday since this appointment fighting to even get my 14 year old to eat dinner after interacting with this so called "man". There is a way to deliver sensitive information especially when dealing with kids. This man needs a lesson or a new job! The hr department of the hospital has had 3 days to contact me and i have heard nothing but a generic im sorry from the office manager when i made the complaint originally. She frankly gave me the impression she didnt really care. Do not take your kids here!
Absolutely horrible. Went to the ER because I had been running a fever the past couple days. My temp has gotten to 104°F, so I needed an emergency check-up. It took over 45 minutes to be seen by a nurse, which wasnt too bad. I expressed to the first nurse that saw me that my fever had reached dangerous highs, and I wanted to get tested for Influenza or Covid. The nurse asked me basic questions, checked by blood pressure, and said the doctor would come in soon for the flu and covid tests. He also mentioned that if I had the flu or covid, they'd perscribe me antibiotics. Over an HOUR goes by, and a doctor finally comes in. Right off the bat, he was rude to me. Interrupting, cutting me off, rushing me to finish talking. He didn't even check my temperature ONCE. No one did. Instead, he asked me if I had any previous medical issues. Which I do, I have Esophagitis. I've had it for YEARS. So, instead of checking me for ANY of the sicknesses I was worried about, he checked for for strep throat. Which I never once mentioned, or had ANY throat symptoms for. He then left for OVER AN HOUR again, leaving me with a rising fever and horrible migraine. The next time I saw him, he briefly popped his head into the room to tell me that 'I didn't have strep throat, and he was getting my release papers'. He just... completely forgot about EVERYTHING ELSE I said was wrong with me at the time. Almost 50 more minutes pass, and a different nurse comes in with the papers. We ask if there's anything else that can be done for me, and she leaves to ask the doctor. She returns a few minutes later with no results. In conclusion, I spent over 4 and a half hours waiting for NOTHING. The doctor that saw me was rude, rushing, and inconsiderate. I had no real help medication, nothing. If I had easier access to other emergency rooms, I'd never go to that awful place again. Not even the first time I've had a bad experience there.
This time is very very pleasant. Alot Better than the last few times I had gone to the ER. This nurse and doctor was very pleasant. I went on 02/22/24 early morning around 8:30 ish .
We took our son here for a dislocated shoulder on Friday night. I can't express how thankful we were. They took him right back as I finished checking him in. The admissions person took me back, they had already started taking care of him. They explained in detail as to what they were going to do to help him. Within 15 minutes of our arrival they had given him medication and had reduced the dislocation. His care was fantastic and everyone so helped and caring. Thank you to the ER staff that night.
I was taken to the ER by ambulance. Upon arrival I was met by the doctor, nurse Jennifer, the EKG specialist, and a couple of other people. I was immediately being worked on. After blood work, Ct scan, chest X-ray and lots of iv fluid it was decided I was going to spend the night. Every person I came into contact with in the ER was very professional and compassionate. I was moved to the floor where my nurse was Rosemarie and my aid was Dawn. Both took great care of me. The meals I had were very good and nutritious. I would recommend Ascension St. Joseph Hospital.
I have also had multiple encounters with this ER while my mother was alive. There was always caring, compassionate, thoughtful and through staff.
Cut my hand down to the bone and was bleeding out standing in front of the ER counter (I would assume it’s a literally a medical emergency) and the lady dead looked my in the eye and saids it’s gonna be awhile (she was taking down the information of someone with a sprained wrist). Waited for a bit and ended up leaving because I couldn’t stop bleeding. When over to rite aid and bought super glue and butterfly bandages to close the gash together (how it’s done over at my job as a mechanic) it worked surprisingly really well. Could only imagine if I waited longer at this pathetic excuse for a hospital. Good thing I keep antibiotics at home. I think I’ll be okay, so far so good..
