Susan is a very smart person and you will have some really good conversations with her =) Also, she is not willing to harm your hair for her financial gain. Susan is upfront and honest with her customers, and she always makes my hair look so damn good!

I highly recommend Artisan Hair! Susan, the owner, has been my hair stylist for over 17 years. She always makes sure I am satisfied with my cuts/color and will make adjustments if needed. There was only one time that I needed a color adjustment, when I was trying out a new color; normally I LOVE my color/cut! Susan is always up-to-date on styles. I also really enjoy coming to the salon because I enjoy my conversations with Susan; she's a "real" person and she often helps me to see problems in a different way. You can't go wrong at Artisan Hair!!

This was my first time at this salon, and I have to say I was very impressed when I first walked in, very clean and homey feeling. Susan is the sweetest. She’s very down to earth and easy to talk to. I’ve been to countless different hairstylists and she was by far the best. I was not expecting my hair to look as good as it did and I’m soooooo happy with it! Reasonably priced and she definitely will have my business! I will recommend Artisan Hair to anyone!

After moving into the York area, I tried about 6 different salons before stumbling across Artisan Hair. This salon is one of the best I have used, and wouldn't even consider using anyone else. My hair has always been hard to handle, but Susan has always worked with me. I regularly have my hair cut there, and can also recommend their coloring and highlighting services, both of which are excellent. But the best is the wash before the services - the massage will put you to sleep!

I've been going to Artisan Hair for years - and I wouldn't have it any other way. Susan colors my hair every 6 weeks and I'm always confident that the outcome looks fantastic. She is very experienced and I am never worried about the end result. It is such a relief to be able to go into a salon, fully trust your stylist and just relax. I lived in York for a long time and have tried a lot of hair salons but this one is by far my new favorite one. Melissa did my hair and she really knew what she was doing. She gave me very specific advice on styling and product that was unique to my own needs. I didn't feel like she was trying to "sell" me anything.

My favorite part of my experience was that Melissa took the time to teach me the styling technique she was using on my hair - I have asked stylists to do that before at other salons and they don't show you easily enough so that you can replicate it yourself. Have you ever gone to a stylist and your hair looks awesome afterward and then you go home and you can't ever get it to look that good again? Well you won't have to worry about that at Artisan.
