Unbelievable spot for a late breakfast or a brunch in the wilderness. The amazing old church turned in the most cozy and warm Café deserves a detour if you are crossing the Trossachs.
The food is interesting but the the choice of cakes and sweets is seductive.
Don't miss this Scottish corner because it would make unforgettable your journey in the area.
Perfect place to stop on your road trip trough the mountains. The staff us very friendly and the place is well decorated. Prices are good and there are loads of options te choose from for lunch or coffee.
A wonderful break from the road. Coffee was excellent as was my slice of carrot cake. And such a beautiful place to just chill for 30 minutes or so. A better range of gluten free cakes for my coeliac wife would have generated the fifth star.
I visited this many years ago when I believe it had just opened, and to be honest, I was not impressed. However, jump to the present and what a difference. The cafe is an old Church of Scotland Church which looks quite picturesque from the outside, where there is some seating when the weather is pleasant and the midges aren't bitting. ???? When I went inside, all the tables were full and I had to wait a few minutes for a table. The atmosphere was convivial, warm and friendly. I only had tea and cake, my usual before heading into the hills, which was very nice. However, I did hear other customers commenting on how nice the food was. When I checked the menu board, they had a nice range of appetising food. As part of the cafe, they sell small a range of nice gifts and beautifully locally spun wool. Good job my partner wasn't here, or she would have been buying it up. There is easy wheelchair access and facilities. My only small issue is that the gents loo was a bit smelly. However, having said that, I would return. The staff were nice and friendly, the food was good and the ambience was comfortably welcoming. What's not to enjoy.
Passed by a sign while I was doing the West Highland Way hike and wanted a break to enjoy the gorgeous and rare blue skies and warm weather. Happy I stopped by, the cafe itself is a church converted into a lovely Cafe which serves lunch, drinks and cakes. It had wonderful high ceilings, curved beams and beautiful stained glass windows. Very atmospheric. It had around 10 tables inside and 6 or 7 out. Unfortunately I arrived a bit late for lunch but got to enjoy carrot cake and tea. The cake was too sweet but it was home made and the staff were friendly. They also sold a bit of locally made products, maybe good for a souvenir or two. Cake and tea came out to £6.50
It's tucked away off the main road and away from any town, located in an old church (c. 1850). It is such a beautiful building and space, right along the river and the West Highlands Way. The coffee was very good and the pastries and cakes are to die for. I had a clementine cake that was so moist and perfectly tuned, I didn't know what to do with myself. My father thought something was wrong with me or my food. I know the last service in this church was more than 20 years ago, but this experience was a revelation.
A MUST VISIT on our way north to Glencoe or Oban.
Great espresso coffee, delicious foamy hot chocolate. Fruit scone was lovely with butter and jam. BLT was the star of the show, in fresh wholemeal roll. Would love to try bacon and cheese scone next time.
Quick and friendly service, very short wait for food and drinks when we were there.
Charmig cafe in an old church. My wife and I enjoyed the lentil soup and the salami sandwich with a pot of tea. My son had hot chocolate with a pastry. Everything was tasty and the service was very friendly.
The cafe is dog friendly and we said hello to a few friendly four-legged-friends.
