Esteban was our server, fantastic meal through and through. Great wine, top notch Argentinan food, live music after 8pm, amazing place! Don’t tell anyone about this place so I can keep it as my new secret spot, TYIA. P.S. get the steak for two!
My fiancé and I went to Artango for Valentines Day. They had a prix fixe menu to order from for $125pp. We were pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes for our appetizers and entrees. We had a salad that was delicious but the best appetizer were their empanadas. They were so delicious and well seasoned. We had lamb as well as ribeye steak as our entrees and both entrees were huge! There was more than enough left over for us to take home. They finished it off with desserts as well, which were quite good!
We each had a cocktail and both were very good. We were also surprised that their cocktails were relatively affordable for a restaurant like this. All in the $13-$14 range.
There was a live pianist and the vibe inside was amazing! We really enjoyed our experience and would love to come back for dinner sometime. ????

The atmosphere was amazing. I hate I can't say the same thing about the food. I ordered the Filet Mignon, saffron rice with asparagus. The steak looked amazing. It was so tender but the taste was non existent. None of the food had any flavor. If you're going for the atmosphere, go but don't expect much from the food.
The valentines theme was a very nice touch. We got the experience meal for two. The empanadas are not very big but they are packed full of flavor! The caprese was amazing.
The steak was very delicious and the sauce was amazing. It was paired nicely by these very bold potatoes that made your mouth water.
Finally followed up with flan for dessert was a really nice finisher. Would be down to come again.
Ordered the entre for 4. It was a meat lovers paradise. Drinks were fantastic.
Does Artango care about our neighborhood safety? What type of parking policies do they instruct their delivery drivers? Do they know that the neighbor has a lot of children? Do they care about the Lincoln square families and children? I see this every time they have a food delivery (years) and now I’m posting this and sending it to the alderman for review. This is nothing new but now something will be done about it. Also their food was a disappointment the three times I went there. Can’t believe they’re still open.
This is a trendy Argentinian Steakhouse with urban artsy decor that fits well in a converted industrial type setting. It has the feel of Buenos Aires and the music was tango and jazz. We had a super nice server named Nenad who recommended the Ceviche Trio which was excellent. We then had the Asado de Domingo for 3 people which was a large beef rib, New York Strip and a Tenderloin. The meet was cooked to perfection and the food was delicious. It came with 3 different steak sauces, a large bowl of fresh mashed potatoes, and a large salad. The food came out promptly and was cooked perfectly. We were very pleased with the huge portions.
Company was outstanding. Our guests saw a lot of people they knew. Made it seem like a great “neighborhood “ place to eat.
The chicken was outstanding. Suggestion- share-share-share. So many great things to order and very very large servings.
The only down this is very particular we were sat in front of the flamenco dancer Talking to each other was difficult, but not impossible.
All in all definitely check it out. Really enjoyed the restaurant.
