Title: A Brunch to Forget
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
I recently had the misfortune of experiencing what can only be described as the worst brunch of my life. It was a culinary disaster from start to finish, leaving me questioning how such a place could stay in business.
Ambiance (★☆☆☆☆):
Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the lack of atmosphere. The lighting was harsh, the decor was outdated, and the overall feel was far from inviting. It felt more like a rundown diner than a place for a leisurely brunch.
Service (★☆☆☆☆):
The service was equally disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, which made the entire experience feel like an afterthought. Our orders were taken with minimal interaction, and we waited an unreasonably long time for our food to arrive.
Food Quality (★☆☆☆☆):
The most crucial aspect, the food, was a major letdown. The menu boasted a variety of options, but the execution was abysmal. My eggs were overcooked and rubbery, the bacon was practically inedible due to excessive grease, and the toast was burnt to a crisp. The coffee was lukewarm and tasted stale, further adding to the disappointment.
Presentation (★☆☆☆☆):
If I could give a negative rating for presentation, I would. The plates arrived looking haphazardly thrown together, with little care for aesthetics. It was clear that no attention to detail was given, and the overall appearance was unappetizing.
Price (★☆☆☆☆):
Considering the quality of the food and service, the prices were exorbitant. I felt like I was being charged a premium for a subpar experience, which only added insult to injury.
Overall Experience (★☆☆☆☆):
In all honesty, this brunch was a complete waste of time and money. I would strongly advise against anyone visiting this establishment. There are countless other brunch spots that offer a far superior experience in terms of ambiance, service, and, most importantly, food quality.
To summarize, this brunch was a perfect storm of disappointment. I left with a sour taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a satisfying brunch outing.
Not many restaurants around this area. They don't serve remarkable meals but enough quality and volume to share. Forgot to take pictures of pizza which was very good. Two bottles of wine and quite a lot of shared meals with 5 people, just under £50 pp, good for value.
I visited Aroma Italian Restaurant on 22/4/2024 at around 2 pm and was left disappointed by a misleading promotion and poor customer service. They displayed a sign claiming a 20% discount on lunch and dinner from Monday to Wednesday, which clearly pictured pizza, and pasta. However, when it came time to settle the bill, I was informed dismissively that the discount only applied to pizzas. My initial query about the absence of the discount was ignored, and it was only after pressing further that I received a terse "pizza only" explanation. This lack of transparency and the dismissive manner of the staff were disheartening. It's unfortunate to see such practices at what seemed to be a reputable establishment.
Live weekend brunch here with my children. Wonderful food, huge portions, great price and lovely service.
Great food, fresh, wonderful flavour combinations. The owner and staff are lovely, the restaurant has a friendly buzz and very relaxed vibe, popular with couples and families. Good value (the house red wine especially!)
Good solid Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere setting
My fiancé and are staying at the nearby Drayton Court Hotel and have eaten here 3 times already. The service is great and the food outstanding. I’ve had the ravioli twice and last night I had the pizza Napoli with tuna, anchovies, capers and sun dried tomatoes with a goat cheese salad. Delicious! The ladies that run the place are so pleasant and efficient. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
What a find! Nearly overlooked this place as it's on a busy corner near the station. But the food was so delicious! And interior was lovely. Staff also super friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
