The batter on the sausage feel straight off, quite a greasy turn out. The meat was of poor quality and bad taste. The staff are friendly but that's the only positive I found there plus a £1 charge to use card to pay in today is an absolute joke.
Don’t eat from here.. ordered a battered sausage and a saveloy and chips and I’m 100% sure the sausages were cooked yesterday and reheated.. rubbery and had that look food gets when it’s left out for a day and the batter was soft and just wet! It was disgusting.. wouldn’t even give it to a starving dog. Only good thing about this place was the can of drink was cold. Avoid
After Dragan left, this place went downhill fast. The fish/chips/sausage doesn't taste right anymore.. like the cooking oil is dirty and old. I tried it a few times after new owners took over but have decided not to go back. It's sad because it used to be a brill chippy.
Fantastic fish and chips shop had large cod and chips cooked lovely beware the large cod is large absolutely fabulous. Chips very good. Can't fault anything. Owner very friendly will be going back again. Well worth a visit.wrote this review when the previous owner was here don't know about the new owners.
Just had a stroke and fancied some fish and chip put fish on their did not turn up just the chips which seemed low quality anyway compared with other chip shops about. Son asked them sorry we shut now. Really fancied them after being ill for a while will have to go without unfortunately don't fancy much of anything else while feeling ill
Food is amazing. Fish was fresh and very tasty.
New owners are a credit and carrying on an excellent service.

Fish was large enough but swimming in grease. Chips were awful, battered sausage was like rubber, i think it had been left over from the night before. Not as good now as it was when Dragon had the shop.
On a good point, it’s open earlier.
The staff were incredibly kind and generous when I didn't know it was cash only and didn't have a card on me to get cash out. Happily waited for my partner to arrive and gave chips to my hungry child while we waited. They even said they'd be happy for us to come back later to pay!
Portion of fish were so large we couldn't finish it!
Only 4 stars for the food as I think my fish must've had some sort of contact with shellfish (maybe same batter?) as I had a mild allergic reaction - I possibly should've have made sure - just haven't had this happen in so long - this was our first time using Arlesey Fish and Chips as Stofold one has now closed.
