Please avoid this place. I ordered a chocolate sponge with salted caramel for my daughters graduation. I was told it would be £38 instead of £25 for vanilla sponge, so I paid in full. When I went to collect it was white not chocolate but was assured that was just the icing. To our disappointment the cake was red velvet when cut. They tried to deny I ordered chocolate and gave me £20 back only half of what I paid. The cake was disgusting and dry could not eat it. As I explained when I collected the white cake instead of chocolate cake on Monday 4th April we were going to Leeds for the graduation on Wednesday the 6th April. I came into your shop on Friday 8th April as soon as we came home. If you say it was a mistake on your behalf you could at least have refunded the full amount not just £20 which means I have paid £18 for your mistake. No amount of apology will rectify the disappointment my daughter suffered on her graduation day. I do fell if you had been honest on the day of collection you would have had time to bake another cake correctly.

My friend found this place for a last minute cake, as majority of the places did request a pre-order and as we were working and couldn't find the cake we wanted, my friend runned to this shop on her break, as she saw it was open and they offered what we were looking for. They did it amazingly and the taste was even better, we all enjoyed and the sponge was still perfect the 2 days after we finished the cake.
Ps: the previous Birthday boy is running to your shop tomorrow for a last minute cake again, we just found out is the Executive Head Chef Birthday ???? ????
By the way a bit stunned with some of the bad reviews, love your answers, and to let you know the guys who tasted your cake are all Chef's from high standard restaurants with Michelin star backgrounds, and they love it, everyone got your contact, and we plan to make you busy, hopefully we will stop with the last minute rush ????

I was lucky to buy a very reasonable priced birthday cake that was a superb, fluffy vanilla sponge with fruit and cream topping. Very happy with the purchase and everyone thought it was delicious. I will be going back.
Arif genuinely has the best red velvet cake I’ve ever tasted! The buttercream was perfectly done and it tasted so delicious! Would recommend 100%, it is so good to support local bakeries, this place is a real GEM!
Excellent cakes at very reasonable prices. You can get really good continental European cakes (that’s what I was after) that are not as sweet and overloaded with sugar and icing as US or UK pastries. Highly recommended!
My mum would buy me the fruit layered cakes for practically all of my birthdays growing up and so it’s nice I can still go back to get a cake for special occasions. It’s so nostalgic for me and the cakes still taste as good as ever!
