When I did try to check into this place I tried to get in the door and it was locked and waited outside in my car outside the window before I looked over and seen the lady in the window and it was an hour from when I pulled up. Got the room the lady didn't tell me when check out time was and the day that I was supposed to check out they called 2 minutes after the checkout time and we had just woke up and we asked them to give us just a little bit they told us 10:30 and right at 10:30 they were calling the room phone again. And we were sending everything outside the door at that time by our vehicle and as I walked around the corner they were on the phone I believe with the police trying to get it someone out there to help them basically get us out of the room I handed them my keys and they didn't say anything to me at all. On top of it noticed the late night early morning of us leaving the motel that there was a bed bug on the bed. Will not recommend anybody to go there
I only gave one star, because it won't allow a lower rating, dead bugs everywhere, terrible smell (really really strong/bad musty smell) this place shouldn't be operating. Even if it was free, I still wouldn't stay. I couldn't even feel comfortable sitting in the chair, because not only was the chair uncomfortable, it was wondering about any other bugs that could be lurking still. Would not doubt if they have bed bugs, as even most of the dead bugs were moldy.
There's a reason this was the cheapest motel in town, and it's not a good one. My husband, mother and I were traveling, so when I made the reservation, I requested 2 queen beds. The room had 2 double beds--too small for us. When I asked or a new room with queen beds, or a comp room for my mother, I learned they do not have any double queen rooms in this motel. The counter woman acted as though she hadn't understood when we asked for queen beds, which strikes me as disingenuous. Even if English isn't your first language, you cannot work in the hospitality field without knowing the difference between a double and a queen. My mother had to buy a separate room, and the motel wouldn't give her a break on the price even though we requested it because the "misunderstanding" was the motel's fault, not ours. In addition, our room had an odd odor. I could not use the bathtub because there was no way to plug the water, and the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. No shampoo was provided and we did not get new soap for our second day. The microwave hadn't been cleaned (yuck). Two outlets didn't work and my husband had to use an extension cord for his CPAP. Some of these are small inconveniences, but added up, they made us wish we had gone to the Comfort Inn across the street. Next time we will. We advise others to do the same.
BEDBUGS. Literally went to go to bed after being gone all day and seen them. Went and told her, she acted like I was lying so I brought her to the room she then PICKED UP THE BED BUG and didn’t say anything. Then tried to return and ask for the money back that she gave me after I asked for a refund so she could load it to my card instead. I said no, I’m not going to wait for you to process that money considering you couldn’t provide a room that didn’t have bed bugs in it. Room smelled terrible. Really run down and gross wasn’t there for longer than 20 minutes.
We stayed here because I forgot to make a reservation for our daughter's college graduation in advance (bad momma!) and we needed three rooms. It is close to the highway, and our rooms were clean, but many of the outlets didn't work, the internet was spotty, and the peeling wallpaper and poorly patched holes in the walls were offputting. Cheap rates, fine family running the joint, but I wish I would have remembered we needed rooms sooner.
An excellent place to stay for a good night sleep and friendly service. Good accommodations and close to many restaurants and the interstate. ||Very clean and cozy room with everything you would need. I recommend it on your next stay.
