Steak was waaayy over cooked, black pepper tenders in penne were tiny AF. Penne came at best room temperature. They did their best to correct it, so there's that.
We needed to get something to eat at nearly 11pm on a Saturday night, and oddly enough, this was the only restaurant open - we decided to try it despite the really low score they have.
Our waitress was very friendly, and the service was fine; I'm sure no one likes people to come in close to closing.
My one issue was the cleanliness of this place. When the hostess brought us to our table, we passed tables with dishes still on them (while other staff were just hanging out complaining about having to work the next day) and there was just trash on the floor. I assumed the hostess would pick it up as we walked past. Nope.
We got there at 1050PM and we left at 1145PM, the napkins and trash were still on the floor, regardless of how many times people walked past them.
Do better, please. Our table was right next to these dirty napkins on the floor.. it just makes the place feel dirty. If these are your standards, that's sad.
The Applebees I remember was worth it. What we have today is not. My sons and I went in to pick up a to go order, and the service was non-existent. When we picked up the food, the chicken tenders I received were hard as a rock (extremely poor quality of food); I could have gone next door to Chick-fil-a and gotten better food. My son’s steak was shoe leather indicating again that Applebees has extremely poor quality of product. I feel I’m be very generous giving this experience 1 star. This is not the Applebees I remember growing up with. This food is closer to something you’d get at a cafeteria, though that would be disrespectful to local cafeteria’s.
My wife asked for a little extra Alfredo sauce with her dish. They said, "Uh, there's an extra fee."
My Classic burger with bacon came without the bacon and was a bit greasy.
Yeah, burgers are known to be greasy but not like it's the special sauce.
The onion rings, however, were outstanding.
The place was clean. The music was loud enough to be heard and I could still hear my wife. Which is, I'm told, unusual.
The staff was great with service and bringing the food out. The seating area was clean. I had the classic burger which was dry. My strawberry lemonade tasted watered down. The server replaced it with a plain lemonade which wasn't much better. The fries were really good. I will eat there again, but maybe order something else.
The wait staff was excellent and I have no complaints! The The all u can eat wings and shrimp was cooked correctly and we didn't have a long wait time. Oh and my daughter absolutely loves the happy birthday brownie bite she got for dessert!
You could tell they were short staffed. They were doing great with what they had. Everyone was so pleasant despite their situation. They kept up with the tables keeping them clean and making sure drinks were available and everyone was good.
My food seemed as if it had been sitting in the window for a bit. Everything on the plate had dried out.
I love chicken Alfredo. The flavor was good, the portion was amazing. The only disappointment was the underwhelming amount of sauce. It needs another 1/4 c. of sauce. The noodles were so dry without a sufficient amount.
