What an interesting restaurant visit. Upon arriving, most all the staff was out in the rear of restaurant for a smoke break. Upon entering, me and my guests were the only ones in dining room. Only the host was available, they were just a little bit too happy. After being seated, the waitress appeared, again another one too happy and giddy. It was obvious the smoke of choice was weed. So weed smokers during break offering a crazy show for the only customers in the restaurant.
Because so many of the staff were obviously getting a hit while on their break, I truly was afraid to order anything that could be difficult to prepare.
What made it worse was the supervisor manager came by the table to share a lousy joke. It was obvious he was the leader of the pack.
While the food was good, the entertainment of the staff was crazy.
Everytime the waitress returned to the table, taking her seriously became more and more difficult.
This truly was the most interesting restaurant experience in my entire life.
Was there on memorial day. They don't honor the promotions that I receive being enrolled in the Applebee's program
Food was decent. Service was slow but maybe they didn't know it was going to be busy.

We ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app with ranch for dipping, waitress brought them out with marinara and had to wait for the ranch even though she wrote it down.
Other party order Chicken plank dinner with fries and green beans, order was nice and hot. Party said it was delicious like usual.
I ordered the Pork Riblets with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Only thing close to being hot on my plate was the mashed potatoes.
After trying to eat barely above room temperature food, the waitress finally came to ask how everything was and I asked her if she could please put my food in the microwave because I prefer to eat my food hot not almost room temperature.
They kept my mashed potatoes and broccoli since I added butter to them and gave new riblets that were actually hot and they did heat up the food for me.
The kitchen manager brought out the new plate and made sure I was happy. I was with nice hot food and the riblets had a better flavor being hot over cold. I'm glad she corrected my dinner.
Applebee's usually is a 5 star rating for me, I eat here at least once a week and they hardly ever mess up but when they do, they are quick to fix the mistake to make sure you have a pleasant dining experience.
I'll definitely be back within the week or so.
Food was delicious. We ordered a special they were having for two for $25. It came fairly quickly & a very large portion on both plates. The server was very efficient & kind. Highly recommended.
Food was good and service was pretty speedy. Nice atmosphere. They got us right in even though a big group. The food had a lot of flavor but not too much. I was pretty impressed.
This particular location food was okay, the waitress was horrible. Was overcharged on food we didn't even get. The only good thing was the manager was friendly and nice and actually listened to our concerns, took action and made things right. I have been to this particular location more than once. It seems to be declining.
This is how we roll in newcastle pa.Bourbon street steak is still great for Father's day of 2021 or any day.. sorry but as you can see I took a couple of bits before I took the picture, oh well I was hungry. Have to say during this whole covd 19 Pandemic It's nice to see This applebee's go above and beyond what no Other restaurant or store Is doing. There is a young man at this location named Trevor . This young man cleans this place from top to bottom. Every time we come here he is cleaning. He is an Outstanding worker . We like coming here and we feel safe eating here knowing that he here doing this job thank you. Ps also not to mention there new Skewered shrimp With lemon butter is absolutely delicious.
