Good service, fast preparation on a busy Friday evening with lots of customers in and out. But we weren’t impressed by the food unfortunately.
I use this takeaway regularly and I had no complaints always a lovely meal but tonight on the 23rd 2024 it was horrible I ordered some salt and chilli spare ribs so tougth chips hard it use to be so good never coming back.
I thought that I had done my research but clearly not well enough. Good telephone ordering, checking and confirming the cost. Happy with that. It was ready at the time said. Happy with that too. But oh - oh what a disappointment. The box of mixed starters (item 1 on the menu) was sealed with sellotape so I couldn’t check it. When I got home, there were no prawn toasts, seaweed or satay chicken. Spring rolls, ribs and the equivalent of chicken nuggets, chicken wings and chips with sweet and sour and curry sauce. The other dishes were average but the duck in plum sauce was unpleasant (stagnating in the congealed jelly that others have mentioned). Too late to take it back as I was staying a few miles away. Disappointing.

So glad we picked the Apple Tree/ chicken & prawn balls ???? the best I've ever tasted.
Infact every dish we ordered was very tasty.
We always rate a Chinese on the quality of the prawn crackers / fresh & crisp & yummy.
We just had a lovely Chinese from you. Everything was cooked to perfection and portion size was good. We pre ordered and it was ready when they stipulated. The set menu D was what we ordered. The chicken balls were possibly the biggest l have had and the only negative l have was the sweet and sour sauce it was too thick. Sort that out and as far as Chinese takeaway goes it has to be one of the best. Thankyou

Had lovely takeaway on Sunday. Quick service, clean waiting area, good food.
Had duck chow mein, chicken chow mein, special fried rice and mixed pork and chicken balls.
(Only downside only take cash not cards)
Ordered special fried rice and it came as a box of plain rice with a seperate box of watery meat and vegetables. Sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls was jellified. Duck dish was missing plum sauce, cucumber and spring onions. Overall the meal was disappointing and bland. Thank goodness we wont be back
