Audi A5 vehicle. Went in to have my oil changed, I specifically asked if they did Audi's and assured they do. When I picked up the car, just as someone else mentioned it smelled like cigarette smoke and I do not smoke. The next day while driving the engine splash pan came undone. I had to rush to a local Audi dealer and then pay to have it screwed back on (the experience was much worse but for the sake of time I will leave out the details). I went back to API the next day and yes, they reimbursed me for exactly what I paid to get the splash shield screwed back on ($70.00) but Rick the owner never called to apologize and I felt at a minimum they should have reimbursed for the entire oil change as I went through hell and missed an important dinner engagement dealing with all of this, not to mention having to go to API a total of three times. I will say Carrie at the front desk was very empathetic and said "That is oil change 101 and should not have happened", which is great but there should be greater accountability with smoking and laziness of not screwing in the splash shield.
Long story short. They held my car hostage for two days just to replace a blend door actuator, and a set of fog lights. The bulbs weren’t anything special, and it took them over a day to get them in. Then finally my car was ready for pickup. Or so I thought. After picking my car up, I got in to be met with an overwhelming smell of cigarettes. I don’t smoke and haven’t in years. There’s no reason my car should smell like a VFW ashtray. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back to API ever again. Once I saw that the original manager Dave wasn’t working there anymore, I should’ve tucked tail and ran far away.
Excellent customer service. Came in for an inspection and was provided with extremely detailed and valuable information regarding damage and concerns with my vehicle. I appreciate the advisor and recommend his services.
I have been using API for over twenty years for my auto repair,inspection, any auto related task. They are excellent in their manner and price for work, many time I have found their prices for work to be far below the estimates of other auto repair shops and dealers. If you want your car to be repaired or inspected or any necessary work to be done on your auto this the place you need to go. They are professional , attentive, and efficient in their dealings. Don’t go to the rest go to API they’re the best.

They always do a great job at a fair price. Carrie is great and keeps you updated as work goes forward. My car is over 20 years old and they keep my wheels rolling. Highly recommend them!
API in bel air is excellent. Great customer service. Carrie at the front desk is very friendly and professional. Mechanics are also very friendly and knowledgeable. Never have issues setting up an appointment either. Very honest business and they send emails of them inspecting your vehicle with explanations. Highly recommend them.
Noticed my hood latch would not release my hood. This wasn’t good because I drive a Mini Cooper and the oil needs to be checked more frequently. I usually need to add a little oil about every three fill ups. I had just filled up for the fourth time, went to check oil and the latch wouldn’t release. Texted API and was informed to drop by on my way home. They replaced the latch and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. I appreciate this garage because they help me maintain my car effectively and are able to work around my busy schedule. I highly recommend them.
