One of my favorites.... beautiful view of the ocean. Delicious popovers and marinated mushrooms before your meal. I always get baked stuffed lobster as I did at Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston. Always perfect - sweet and tender. Nice dining room with table cloths and staff dressed in tuxes. Bar is pretty - looks like a boat. Cocktails served with a sidecar in a silver bowl filled with ice. Very nice presentation and great service. Great for a casual lunch or a special dinner. Back for another visit....fried calamari is so delicious and tender. Best I've ever had.
Excelent place to enjoy the sunset and views of Boston with exquisite sea food and the home bread with butter it's a magical touch for your dinner.
Olga was our server and she was beyond! Excellent service and explanation about the wines and the menu.
The wine was Greek and a perfect combination with the main course.
I will definitely comeback and enjoy the lobster.
Overall we had a good experience here. The view was amazing at sunset and the picture windows give you a great view of the shoreline. The only reason I did not get five stars is because we made reservations and we showed up no one was there to greet us. They seem to be slow, so maybe they weren't really watching the front closely. But they did come see this a couple minutes later. The food was good, and it was honestly more than I could fit. Lol they served you popovers and a bowl of mushrooms before your meal which were good. I ordered the steak special, and I felt like I definitely got my moneys worth.
Wanted a good seafood dinner, I am from out of town. First the food was extremely expensive and very bland, quite disappointing! But the topper came as we were leaving the restaurant and spotted 2mice in the corner!! Could not believe my eyes! Really? This upscale and high end restaurant! Don’t waste your time or money!! It is not a 5 star. choice at all.
A very nice restaurant to eat and relax at a fantastic location with great views of Boston, Lynn Beach, Egg Rock as well as Swampscott harbor. The food is good.. We had Boston Scrod and baked cod. The food while tasty was bland. The clam chowder was excellent, the salad very fresh and tasty, the pop overs were perfect, hot and plenty of butter to add to the enjoyment. The waitstaff that served us was a very personable young man. He was knowledgeable and friendly making us feel quite welcome. Anthony's is worth a visit... It is a treasure from the past existing in a different world but always seeking quality food in a friendly, beautiful setting. You will not be disappointed... Go and enjoy the experience of fine food, great service and a beautiful setting!
Overall an enjoyable experience. We stumbled across Anthony's while visiting the area and decided to make reservations the following night at sunset since they have a great viewing location. The food was very filling and the atmosphere was lovely as they were slow and we could slowly enjoy out meal.
Stunning views of Boston and the Massachusetts Bay. Perhaps it was because we entered the cafe at a slower time but, we were one of the three families dining in the rather large dining area. The entire space felt stuffy and I ended up asking the staff to let some air in. We came in for desserts and ended up ordering a creme brulee and baked Alaska. My husband loved the baked Alaska and I enjoyed the creme brulee. 7/10.
The food was really good. Just as good as the view of Boston. My friend and I both had the chowder...yum. We shared a crab cake which was also delicious. I ordered the salmon and she had the stuffed lobster. Both also very delicious. We even had dessert ????????♀️ Baked Alaska and Creme Brulee, also very good.
