Though it was going to be a great night out, food was amazing, but the appetizer came out after our meal was brought out and not before, service was not great. Took forever to get everything! Very slow! The Spaghetti and meatballs was amazing! Best meatballs in north east! The garlic knots are amazing but was a appetizer came out after! Service needs work! Great food!
My husband enjoyed the Italian Tuna Salad sandwich. I had the Italian Chicken sandwich both were delicious!
Great food, bad service. We walked in on a Wed afternoon at 1130, there were 7 tables already seated. We stood at the door for a bit, grabbed our own menus and seated ourselves.
There was 1 server (who was awesome and overwhelmed), a pizza maker, and 2 girls that were useless that never helped the server. The server was running around crazy taking orders, refilling drinks, and bringing out food. While the 2 girls were behind the counter, mostly on their phones.
Regardless, I felt the 2 girls refused to help the overwhelmed server...took over 40 minutes to get our food.
We dined here for the first time Sat. Our hostess was friendly. Chase, our server, was a pro and friendly. He gave our table sample because it was our first time. And signed us up for rewards. Alex the manager also gave us samples and checked on us. Even the kitchen staff was friendly and thanked us for coming! Food and service 10/10 we will tell our friends and we will be back!
we have had hit or miss service the last four times we went. We decided to try once more because we actually like the food. once again, our waiter was also the bartender left plates on our table and went to take care of people at the bar who came in after we did. We waited about 10. minutes and then just said enough, got up and walked out.
well, miss the food, but there are other places to eat in this area
A large caprese salad appetizer was a disappointment. 4 slices of barely ripened tomatoes along with thin rounds of mozzarella & a shred of fresh basil. The minestrone soup came out long after the entres were served, even the server was confused about that. The soup was sub par, blande, unpleasant. The pizza was half burnt and again nothing special. This meal was a complete disappointment. We didn't argue, however, the server asked how everything was and then I proceeded to tell the truth. It would have been nice if a manager came forth to discuss the horrible experience. One star was given because 0 stars was not an option.
Also, bathroom was not clean
Party of 2, arrived at about 5pm with only 3 other tables occupied when we got there. Order beer) water, garlic knots, pizza and chicken sandwich. We sat at a table in the dining room, but the bartender was our server. We were served the beverages and knots. And then we waited ... all of the tables around us, who were seated well after us, got their food, ate their food and got their checks. Server never came back to check on us. We tried to flag her down but she never came near. Strangely, a management-looking person hovered near the food service area, and at times was literally hanging over the divider over our table talking the phone the entire time, but never acknowledged us.
We finally got someone's attention and were told a printer broke so our order never printed. We had a two hour drive ahead of us, and requested to cancel the remaining order so we could leave.
We got apologies and excuses: but were pressured to stay and were told our food would be out in 6 minutes, so we waited. We were offered desserts (which we accepted, to go), and more drinks and even salads, which we declined. It was more like an additional 20 minutes for food to be delivered.
We were told management was involved and would take care of everything. But they didn't. We ended up paying over $30 plus tip. I felt paying for the beer and knots would have been fair. -
I was really disappointed in how they dropped the ball - both regarding the printer error, no one checking in on us, having to track down someone to help us, being pressured to stay, and then not comp-ing the meal.
Food was excellent but the experience was terrible.
I love Anthony’s. It is always consistent. The food is great and the service is great. It is a well managed establishment. I come here every time I’m in town. I wish you would open a location in Fuquay-Varina, NC. There is a new Target coming and that would be the perfect location!!
