Wonderful local convenient shop. Lovely friendly service. At the heart of the local community.
Anns is a family run convenience store which provides handy parking for 2 cars. The store stocks a wide variety of merchandise from cooking ingredients and store cupboard items, to fresh cakes, bread, dairy products, bacon & eggs. They also stock greeting cards, magazines and newspapers. They provide a paper delivery service which is invaluable to the local residents, many of whom are elderly. They have pick & mix sweets which are very popular with local school children. The shop is situated on a main road running from The Woodmans to Hadleigh and due to their convenient opening hours, is beneficial to passing traffic. Above all they are always friendly & helpful and Ann and her son are lovely to chat to with loads of local knowledge and information about matters concerning the neighbourhood.
Ann's MiniMart is a wonderful little English corner shop, nestled in the centre of Daws Heath. In fact day to day it *is* the centre of Daws Heath! I can buy most of what I'd expect in small convenience shop at reasonable prices. The bread from a local bakery is excellent. We have been shopping there for years now, and we buy an increasing proportion of our groceries there. Ann is very welcoming and I find her a refreshing reminder of England in better times. She and Steve usually thank us for coming in, and will do their best to oblige us with what we want to buy. It is perfectly positioned in the middle of Daws Heath Road between Thundersley and Rayleigh to the north west and Hadleigh and Southend in the south east, and I can usually park outside if we are driving. They are open every day for long hours. Go there if you are local or passing!
Great little shop, has most of what you need. Anne and Stephen are doing a great job looking after the locals and all that pass through the area.
Family run shop with very helpful, friendly owners who find nothing too much trouble.
Used this little gem today what can I say, like a thoroughly enjoyable step back to the 1970s , 80s simply beautiful
