Atmosphere was quiet, service was quick. Our waitress was attentive, she did not mention her name, and they were out of all Crab entrees.
I ordered Jumbo Shrimp that were fried to perfection, side of Coleslaw could have used a little vinegar along with pepper overall my meal was tasty.
Prices are reasonable, there are many grammatical errors in the menu but you’ll get it. When in the area, I recommend you stopping by.
2 months ago, this was an awesome plate of food. Had 2 fish/6 shrimp off the menu. Snapper fillets were seriously hot and delish. Jordyn and Alicia were terrific. Very polite with lots of smiles. Had Calimari appetizer, a full basket was provided that had wonderful flavor.
Definately returning here again.
Thanks for a great visit for lunch.
Today was just opposite. Undercooked, slimey, fishy smelling fillets. The breading was almost overcooked, the fish not even done yet... oh well. New cook i guess.
No idea on the food. We came in and waited to be seated while hostess was on the phone. Hostess then said we could sit where we wanted so we did. No menus, no silverware, and we watched 2 of what I assume were servers walk around and not do anything. By the time they figured out that we were there we were disgusted and walked out. A couple sitting close to us were talking about how long they had been waiting for their check. May want to staff the place with something besides snarky teenage girls. First and last time we set foot in there.
It cost more money for 4 drinks than it is for a meal per person. The food is always good. But the service is terrible, considering the waitstaff is preoccupied on their phone at the front of the restaurant rather than checking on their tables. I spent $15 for 4 teas which is absolutely absurd. You are better picking up your food so you don't overpay for drinks or have to tip for terrible service. I would not recommend this business which stinks since I've been going here since they opened.
The restaurant has a nice clean outside environment. The interior is clean, service is prompt, food is served at the perfect temperature where you can actually eat it, the moment it is brought out and not wait until it cools off a bit, especially since it is deep fried. The food is perfectly seasoned. Everything was perfect and could have enjoyed dinner a bit more if the A/C was turned on. It was hot outside and so the interior temperature was a bit stuffy. No ceiling fans to help ease the stuffiness. Management did say the A/C had a mind of its own. Hopefully, A/C is fixed soon.
The plate pictured is not on the menu but a mixture of what was ordered. Be aware that their pricing on the menu is not up to date, so you may pay less or a dollar or two more for what you order.
I do recommend the restaurant and will definitely be going back.
Angleton Seafood Restaurant is not a bad place to have lunch. The prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Upon first entering I noticed it was pretty warm inside. Their A/C quit working, but one of the staff quickly let everyone know that they were working on it and apologized to every customer, Much respect for that. I originally came in because I was craving crab legs, so it was a bit disappointing that they were out of King and Snow crab. I decided to make the best of it and ordered a beer and the fried Calimari. The beer was cold and the Calimari was very well done. I really enjoyed them. I then ordered the 6 grilled Jumbo Shrimp, with fries and coleslaw. The shrimp was also really good and the coleslaw was fantastic! All in all, I would go again. They did seem a bit understaffed, but the employees that were there, were busting their backsides to take care of the customers. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy. The other thing I noticed was that this place was screaming for a bar. If any place should have a bar installed it is this place, it just seems like a missed opportunity. I recommend Angleton Seafood Restaurant for a good meal and decent prices. NOTE: (I realize now that the pictures I posted of the menu have too much light in certain areas, but you can see the prices and get an idea.) Great service!
Food is so good! Seafood fans would love it! Cole Slaw is A-1! Boudin Balls are awesome!!!
This is the best kept secret in Angleton! My husband was searching for a seafood restaurant that wasn’t so commercial, yet good, and affordable! He hit the jackpot with this place! We have been to this place twice and when I tell you the food is plentiful for price, served hot, and fresh! The food is delicious and to top it off the service is like being in a 5 star restaurant! I haven’t tried everything but the fish and shrimp are seasoned well and fried to perfection! They don’t pile your plate up with French fries to make the plate look full; they give you large pieces of fish! The hostess remembered my granddaughter (she loves the attention) and the waitresses are attentive, friendly and thorough! The place is very clean and the atmosphere gives you a feeling of peace and comfort! The pictures below is a child’s plate!
