Best KPortal Reviews
This is the second time I enter in a pub with very low expectations and I am proven wrong! So so wrong!!
The food was amazing and the staff was so polite and friendly. I have learned not to let myself be fooled by a place’s appearance and I have no intention of discussing renovation as I have no business knowledge, but what I can say was, the food was delicious and at a reasonable price.
I wasn't expecting much from the food here but it was actually, surprisingly good, perhaps they were a bit short staffed, but they could have been better prepared as there was a cycle event on, so waiting time for service was a bit long. However, the staff were really nice and friendly.
Generally the whole place is due a revamp which would bring the surrounds to a good standard as it has everything else going for it in a lovely location and next to the campsite, this could be a really fantastic pub/ restaurant.
Due to the owners response I require to clarify some facts here. I was a single participant in the cycling event not in any group and had nothing to do with the organisers or indeed any other cyclists. I believe I gave a reasonable review, however, I also appreciate some of the the owners comments , but certainly none of the ones which are very presumptuous and I believe are also highly accusatory.
Great little pub to stop at. Food is good and prices are decent. Staff was very friendly over the couples of days I stayed in the area. 100% a place I will go back too.
Pub was shut even when Google says it was open.
Walked 13 mile hoping for a nice pub lunch. Had to settle for peanuts and a tracker bar in my rucksack.
Please update your Google status for walkers.
Absolutely amazing pub very family friendly atmosphere. The couple that run the pub Neil and Dionne are great hosts. The food is perfect and definitely well worth the price. Perfect little rest stop while out for a walk Highly recommended. Great atmosphere very welcoming
Visited over the weekend and I really can’t recommend the place enough.
Prices are reasonable and the food is top notch.
I had the Anglers arms tower burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had and the price was even better £12.99. Portions were simply huge too!
My son had the kiddies burger which, again was fabulous and another generous portion.
Drinks were priced well and the new owner Malcome was welcoming and very friendly.
Can’t wait to go back!
Great food, staff was friendly and gave prompt service.
Dark and Dingy pub. Thought we’d walked into a pub in The Worlds End. No music and when there’s not many people in there it’s silent so no atmosphere. Weird decor / lay out. Food was okay but nothing amazing.
Chips were horrible and got given some sad limp salad on the side of my pizza. Wouldn’t go back but was fine for a meal staying at the campsite nearby. Dog friendly which is good.
