Such a cool little town. So much history, cute shops, friendly locals. Love this place ❤️????✌️
Nice small gold mining town. Nice museum's, winery, food, downtown. Good place for a day trip.
Angels Camp is a charming historic community in California’s gold country. It’s great fun to stop and visit the shops here. Make time to discover this destination. Everything’s in walking distance and you will be greeted by genuine small town friendliness.
Went on Saturday, the place is a ghost town, empty storefronts, no pedestrians. On a Saturday angels Camp used to be a great place to go explore. Guess covid killed it?
We love the downtown area, with its historic buildings and rich history. If you've ever read the The Celebrated Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain, then you should visit Angel's Camp. If you ever want to experience the frog jumping competition in person, venture here on the third weekend in May and head over to the Calaveras County Fair grounds. There's something there for everyone, from indoor activities to the main competition held in the outdoor frog jump arena. If frog jumping and history aren't your thing, then you should check out the lakes and stream that are all near by.
Very nice town. Lots of great shops and walking tours of the town. Extension history and historic buildings. Parking is easy with the public parking lot right nearby.
Downtown is a wonderful place with many small shops. Good ice cream parlor, mingo's and stories in stones. You can't beat it!
So much fun to be had. History is fantastic!
