Was visiting Chicago, and wanted more than deep dish pizza. Because I know the best Italian and the best NY pizza varieties, I was in search of a piled high option. The crust is perfect. . . pastry like. Not bready in the deep dish sense. The ingredients are first class farm fresh, flavorful, intensely tasty.
Because of no liquor license, the BYOB makes Angelo’s a win/win high value low cost meal.
The open air front side contributes to the stuff that great memories are made of.
Had to get my niece ready for her father daughter dance yesterday but I could not miss out on making this review. This place was amazing I met an awesome woman yesterday inside this place who was me, and my family waitress, and cook our food for us her name was Bella she was a whole vibe very nice. I found out this place is family owned, and Bella has a pizza name after her because she is the owners first child. The set up was so amazing my nieces loved it. The food was great pizza, and the wings. You must try this place out you will walk away happy like me, and my family did such a vibe. We will be back!!
Atmosphere was fine, very colorful and a little cluttered. We were one of the 2 customers there during lunch hour. Food was okay, it used to be a lot better. Overall it was pretty bland, chicken on my pizza was unseasoned and the crust was a bit burnt as well as the fries. Food was also around $45. Probably won’t be coming back.
Been coming here for a few years now the pizza is one of my favorites. I wish I lived closer I’d be here every week lol. Service is always great and they always have cute decorations for every holiday super cute!
Slice of pep za and a soda is around 8 bucks just a slice i think 5 bucks. Flavor profile was ok, sauce had good flavor 5/5 and crust was ok 3/5. Pepperoni 2/5 there wasnt any spices on the pepperoni so it didnt really bring in all the flavors. I do feel that the slice here has potenial to be a great slice. Cheese was good 4/5. Over all an average slice and its good 2 slices and a drink with tip would be aboit 15 16 bucks with tip. Id come back to try other things on the menu but im on the hunt for thw best slice on the southside!
DELICIOUS PIZZA!! As a Chicago native, this is definitely on my top 3 list in Chicago for deep dish/stuffed pizza. We ordered a medium stuffed pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and giardiniera. It was more than enough and now we have left overs.
Me and my boyfriend always passed this place so we decided to give it a try and the stuff pizza was actually good. We got some wings ( mango habanero and sweet teriyaki) 8 pieces. I didn’t like the sweet teriyaki sauce cause I can taste the soy sauce a lot . The wings themselves were okay, not a lot of meat but it had some unlike other places. We got a appetizer mix it was good but for the price I thought it was a lot for so little. I gave this place a 3 because the prices on the menu were totally different from what I got charged. The pizza was suppose to be $15 and got charged $25. The appetizer was $7.30got charged $14.50. The wings were $9.88 got charged $ 13.99. I talked to the the boss which I’m pretty sure was Angelo the owner about it and he told me they are doing changes cause of the increase of minimum wage, That they are updating things still . Which I told him I understand but they can at least tell their customers in the beginning about it instead of them finding out when paying. I asked if I can get charged with the price in the menu and he told me no. My bill was gonna be around $40 but instead came out $61. I think it’s crazy how much the food went up from this minimum wage increase.
This place is definitely on my top 3 favorite Chicago style pizza. We had a medium pepperoni pizza, well done. I recommend well done if you like a crispy crust, which I LOVE! Also, I recommend the cheese fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Isaiah was very informative with how you want your food cooked e.g crispy fries, well done pizza. If you don’t like that, they accommodate to your liking. Costumer service was amazing with Isaiah. He made us feel welcomed from the start and was attentive to our needs. Definitely coming here again.
