Waaw! What lovely place, plenty of light and attentive and caring staff.
We had a nice time, we sat near the window, yes there was only shops to look down on, but we enjoyed the energy, and our lunch.
Nice, cosy café hosted within Camp Hopson, High Street, on the 2nd floor.
Our favourites are cold sandwiches and loose tea.
It’s a beautiful café, cant believe I haven’t been here before. I was served by the guy in my second photo, extremely nice and made me feel welcome. Thank you ????
I have frequented this cafe on a handful of occasions over the past 25 years and have not been overly impressed.
Today sadly there was a queue hopper and the staff did nothing to resolve. Even when it was pointed out to them.
What a great fined. We moved local a couple of years ago and usually go to high street norm coffee shops, not any more. The surroundings were cheerful and clean. The staff were welcoming , friendly and the sandwiches and cakes were yummy. It was delightful to see other than the run of the mill cakes that other coffee shops provide. Its our go to for coffee and cakes in future.
Go here regularly. Fresh hot food and delicious scones. Stylish interior. Lovely staff.
Absolutely awful. Not worth the money.
£11 for 3 slice sandwiches which were egg mayonnaise, ham and tomato and cucumber & cheese.
The scones were awful, they were burnt and dry. We forced ourselves to eat one.
The cakes consisted of:
- A chocolate mousse (which was okay).
- A chocolate brownie (which was extremely rich).
- A slice a bakewell (which I couldn't eat).
- A slice of traditional vanilla sponge with James and cream in the middle (This was the best thing I ate).
I did explain to a member of staff about the scones and they discounted the bill for me so I cannot fault the staff, but unfortunately I will not be returning.
Brilliant Restaurant with wonderful relaxing atmosphere! We usually take a coffee break here during shopping trips to Camp Hobson & Newbury Northbrook Street! Recommended!
