Anerley Chippy.
Another one tried, sadly under scaffolding hence the difficult picture.
Located near the overground station, it is ideal for trying when there are rail strikes.
I had the chips with haddock because it was the only fish with skin.
As expected, the fish was tasty and chips were good.
It was takeaway so cant rate how good they are without eating at the spot because the chips have endured at least a few minutes in an enclosed environment hence they stick together.
Also the batter stuck to the box but then I would be worried if it didn't stick as it would be overdone.
In terms of greasiness and being overdone, both were perfectly good.
Went to Anerley Chippy for the first time yesterday. Had chips, cod, battered sausage, mushy peas and a spam fritter. All of these were lovely. Good choice, reasonably priced and good food. I'd definitely go back

Very friendly staff. Freshly fried fish and far too many chips. Our cat shared the fish with us which is high praise indeed.
I chose this place due to all the good google reviews. I must say I was pretty surprised. The chips are near to seaside taste and the fish was fresh and tasted pretty decent. Definitely recommend.
Excellent chip shop! Fish are fried to order and absolutely delicious. I've lived in London for over a decade and these guys serve the best fish and chips I've had down here.
Disappointed with service. Made over £25 order I was waiting outside to be prepared. Fish was done then they run out of chips. Instead of explaining they just went ahead getting chips to be cooked. By the time I got completed order, Fish was soft like boiled rather than crunchy. All I got is sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I won't go there again.
