I can’t speak for all the food that is served here but I can share with you what I think about their pastrami sandwiches. I ordered two of them and it came out to 28.00 dollars. No fries , And no soda . Just two simple pastrami sandwiches and the price was 28.00 dollars. Last time I go to Andres drive in for anything. The pastrami sandwiches were really not that good, if you want to enjoy a good tasting pastrami sandwich go to Pops on niles street
Halfway through our road trip we were looking for an old dive & went to Frostees first. Unfortunately, everything was updated & charm lost. So, we drove the 3 miles to our other choice & we weren't disappointed.
LOVE the old Andre's sign out front!!
We ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich $7, side onion rings $5, & the French burger sandwich meal $15, which included fries & a soda. This is an outside seated only drive in so we ate in the van out of the wind. Took apx 10 minutes to get our order. Better half said he was shocked by how heavy the old time carton felt in his hand.
Honestly, I should have gone with my gut & just ordered the French burger. HUGE. Easily enough to share. I ended up removing most of the giant hoagie roll to eat the burger. Fries & onion rings were cooked perfectly & the BBQ sandwich wasn't too sweet or tangy.
If you like old time dives, it's worth the visit
Food was alright, basic and bland nothing special about it. I ordered a Jalapeño chili cheese fries and there were no jalepenos on my order until I asked and then they added some. I didnt care for the chili cheese fries. I also ordered chili cheese fries and they were basic. It was difficult to drive into Andre’s due to the street it’s next to and not being able to make a U-turn twice. Service was fairly good, but won’t be returning since the food was okay.
The Chinese Lady was rude af
Food was nasty
Fish didn’t have seasoning and undercooked.
Patty was not done all the way
Literally made me throw up . She couldn’t refund because she so worried about the money . Don’t eat here
The owners/workers their are so nice and always in a good mood. My go to meal is the French Burger combo no onions with a Pepsi BOMB!
Good service clean but could use some updates food was good I recommend the deluxe cheese burger and onion rings fries are also good pastrami was good but I didn’t care for the bun to much bread and soggy overall good experience and prices are good fed the whole family of 5 for $30. It would be cool to see this place restored and have a cruse night with classic cars like they did in the 60s
Food was the best and the lady that took our order was amazing and generous... Everything was hot and cooked to perfection
I have never tried this place before but was willing to give it a shot.
What I can see from the outside just 2 employee's nothing fancy.
Pro was it looked clean, when i brought the food back as much as it was smelling good, i was slight disappointed they didn't cut it in half like i asked.
No big deal to do it myself.
Con #1
The sandwich I got was a Pastrami which they recommended, bread was very soggy at the bottom.
Fries well just missing more Ketchup but nothing big.
Con #2 I did ask for a large drink, and when it was handed to me it was a small, when i asked she said that was the large drink but i wasn't going to argue.
It was a good Sandwich but not the greatest, unfortunately the meat was kinda all over the place when comes to slim slices, then big slices (very thick) where it kinda made it out of control.
The place was good, i will try it again but i wont get the Pastrami.
definitely worth the try if on Brundage and hungry.
