Amazing, fresh food. Reasonably priced. Pho broth homemade from beef bones, so rich and yummy. Amy is sweet and helpful in ordering. We had the peach mouse (made with fresh peaches) and Vietnamese flan. We ate that too fast for pictures. Our favorite was the stir-fried beef noodles, a little sweet, savory, spicy, and crunchy. She imports Vietnamese coffee and jasmine tea that we can't wait to try next time we visit.
Stopped in for lunch with my wife.
Amy, the owner, along with her husband. We're awesome and very friendly and helpful with choices.
We had gotten way too much food. But it was worth it.
Everything is prepared when ordered. It is truly exceptional. I had the thai pad. My wife opted for the pho. We had spring rolls and a chicken salad.
Very fresh and flavorful.
I am a firm believer in supporting the little guys.
Amy's will not disappoint.
We decided to give Amy’s kitchen a try for the first time for Mother’s Day and WOW! The food was so delicious and fresh. My family and I all chose different meals and not one crumb was left when we were done. It seems like you can’t go wrong with any dish! At the end of our meal they brought out a complimentary piece of chocolate mousse cake for Mother’s Day and it was fabulous! Amy and our waitress were so friendly. We will be coming here more often!
We love this restaurant. Food is top-notch, fresh, and full of flavor. Hospitality is far beyond better than any other restaurant in comparison. Our daughter has hit the stage where she doesn't like sitting in highchairs, and she typically doesn't stay calm when going out to eat. This is the first restaurant we've been able to eat a full meal in quite some time. Amy is so sweet that she took the time to give our daughter some attention and enjoy her for official first trick or treating. We took the chocolate strawberry mousse with cream to go, and it was so delicious I almost ate all of it! Next time, we will get two! This place is a blessing to have in Winchester and such a hidden gem. Give them a try, you won't regret it!
Do yourself a favor and visit Amy’s Asian Kitchen at 68 S. Main Street in downtown Winchester. I’ve never tried Vietnamese food and wasn’t sure how we’d like it but it was AMAZING! I had the Papaya salad w/shrimp and Stuart had the Pho combo special. Amy has been open now for 2.5 months and is loving being a small business owner. She did an incredible job with the building too!
We tried the spring rolls, pork bun, pho with brisket and beef noodle stir fry. Everything was absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and will be going back. I honestly can't choose a favorite dish, but whatever sauce is in the beef noodle stir fry...wow. I'll be dreaming of it. I could go on about the bun as well. The jasmine tea is a must try. The person I was eating with described it as "spring in a cup" and I thought that was very fitting. Amy also came to our table and she was the sweetest. Staff was great also! Check out this amazing local eatery!
The service really was attentive without being overbearing, professional yet warmly inviting. The facility was clean (which really is the most important thing), but uninspired in any "Asian" way that would make this a "destination" dining experience. The spring rolls could be half the size because they are HUGE, stuffed with noodle, and therefore lose flavor impact because it's too much noodle. The peanut sauce (house made?) was Delicious. I'm not certain if my prior experiences with pad Thai were Americanized or if this one was, but it was not what I expected. At all. Again, generous portions, more generous than necessary, as I would prefer higher quality over quantity. The pictures of the food, in the menu, make the food look anemic- just a name and description would be better. But that's kind of nitpicking... The crux is that Amy's could be a really exciting and enjoyable experience if she nails down one or two dishes and makes them exceptional. Maybe become the pho champ of Winchester? As it is, there's lots and lots to choose from... But none of it is remarkable in a good way.
Amy’s is so tasty! All the food is cooked to order (so easy to request anything special) by Amy herself and I can’t say enough good things about it. The green papaya salad is addictive. Between the crunch of the papaya, the shrimp, the peanuts and the heat- it’s out of this world. If she has the seafood toast- get it. It’s the best. And the pork butt platter is yummy yummy!
