The pizza here is always on point. I highly recommend the mozzarella pizza. It is just so flavorful and delicious. I also recently branched out and got one of their specialty pizzas. Phenomenal.
I ordered 2 pizzas at 5:28 pm and it's now 6:53 still no pizza it's sad I did like there pizza but service is very important doesn't seem like they could care less when you call
Received a flyer in the mail. The pizza looked good so we ordered for the first time on Saturday at 430pm. Was told delivery was 45 minutes to an hour. An hour and a half later no pizza. I called and they said it just left the store. Another half hour later at 630 pm, we received our pizza COLD. Had to put it in the air fryer. This is unfortunate cause we really liked this pizza. It tasted good. Trying to find a great pizza place since moving to meriden but not sure if this is it due to waiting 2 hours for delivery and receiving cold pizza.
I Love the Quattro formaggio pizza, really great flavor. The lady taking orders is Sooooo nice, makes ya feel nice when you call!
Honestly, I used to order all the time. Not any more. I ordered a pizza that was way undercooked and a chicken par. I ordered the chicken parm sub with extra cheese, they didn’t put any extra cheese. And to be honest, it didn’t even seem like they gave much effort to make it as is basic off of the menu. There was barely any chicken, cheese, or sauce. Just mainly bread. I wish I had caught this before they served it. I would have told them it was unacceptable. I guess I’ll feed it to the wildlife. There’s really no nutritional value from ordering from here. Pizza was soggy and under prepped. If you go in, it’s a bunch of young kids that don’t care about anything other than the game currently playing. Really disappointing that this place used to be a staple. And to be completely honest, I don’t want a response from the owner saying “I’m sorry please reach out to us directly so we can correct this issue”. How about, no. You can correct the issue by actually caring about your business and genuinely caring about the products that you put out. By the way, your penne alla vodka is a joke. I’ve spoken to quite a few of long time customers that now actually redirect their business elsewhere because of the poor quality of food. Sad to say but spend your money else where. I will take photos to follow up. But if it helps to make up your mind, don’t waste your money here. Such a shame.
EDIT: I just want it to be known that if you go there to pick up your food, it’s usually some younger female to deal with the overload of phone calls while the males in the back, carelessly grow around food making poor mistakes to which they call food while they watch foot ball and place bets and worry about fantasy football while they put out your “worthless meals” they really do miss the point of the food and how much Amore used to mean. Such a shame but honestly, there are so many better places to order from around wallingford. The terms pasta and sauce don’t even ring a bell to these kids anymore and the owner doesn’t even bother to see the quality of food that is put out. If the owner(s) did, they’d see the absolute garbage they are serving to people.
By the way, wings and mozz should be far out of the question. Let alone the soggy salads they serve. But that’s a discussion for another time being that they won’t let me leave 2 reviews.
Just moved to town and starting the journey to find “my pizza place.” We ordered 3 pies. Buffalo pizza - was really really good perfect amount of spice. Would be perfect with a side of Blue Cheese to dip into! Pepperoni- was also great, no complaints at all. Cheese - also very good, but one edge was really burnt. Hopefully just a fluke. The rest of the pie was delicious. I have a feeling I’ll be back here sooner than later!
Very good and nice and fresh. Outstanding flavor!
I used to love Amore pizza but there are different people answering the phone now and they can be very rude. It darkens the whole experience.
