Best KPortal Reviews
I always come here from my braids! All of the ladies are so talented and kind. And they don’t play about their price. They are honest and knowledgeable.
Express braiding. If you want quick or longer braids, I would definitely reccomend, they way they do appointment is weird so make sure to confirm your time and make sure you have nothing urgent after cause you might have to wait. I loved the way my hair turned out. I only got simple cornrows, another girl got her hair in a braided ponytail and it looked good! Cash only
Marie did an excellent job.. I received lots of compliments on my braids. Stylish and elegant.
They will never get my business again. They’re lazy . Tell you what you should get and shouldn’t get. When it’s your money Won’t do what you want them to do , only what they feel like doing.
I have had my hair done there a couple of times by Abiba and Marie. and they do outstanding work, very courteous and attentive to your needs. They have a great staff you never have to sit and wait... their is always someone available to do your hair if not one person but 2 and trust and believe the work will be on point. You can bring them a picture of just what you want and I assure you they can comply with your desired hair style. The photos you see on her website are the truth... work is excellent. I love the hospitality you experience in this salon. They are about their business and you don't find that much these days. I would definitely recommend this shop to my family and friends and you would to.
Never again
They had bugs on me and they hold me to come back in a hour they toke so long to do my hair and they had roaches and it is so over priced if this place looking like this and only 3 people work
I got my hair done awhile back by an Ethiopian lady which she did amazing job on my Cornrow. it was pricey but I was satisfied with it. When I went for the second time recently it was a roller coaster( I had different lady from the first time which was fine). I called head to see if they will take me and they said yes. so I showed up at 5pm the store was closed and the light was off which was weird cause they didn’t tell me they were leaving. They called me back told me they will be back in 10mins so I drove back to shop.
The second red flag: the braider told me she’s going to grab her food and I told her that was fine. I didn’t know she was going to sit and eat; and take multiple breaks. I feel like she could of communicated better and respected my time as well.
Third red flag: I had a style I wanted done, I showed her and she said she could do it. When she came to the front of my hair the style I want and what she was doing didn’t match so I try to tell her that’s not what I wanted and she starting asking me “if I am braider and what not, I don’t what talking about and her was the right way…” anyone knows if your getting your hair done and your gut tells you is not right, is not right simple. I tried to communicate with her what I wanted but that didn’t go well. If I am paying to get my hair done, I should have a voice to say whether I like it or not without feeling like my opinion doesn’t matter. so I paid for the box braid she did in the back and I walked out my hair half done.
I think different people in this salon can give you different experiences and certain people can not!
If this is how hair is done in Boston I DONT WANT IT! The only reason for 2 stars is bc the lady was nice as she failed my hair.. senegalese medium twist paid 200 and they look like I could have done them myself. Frizzy uneven parting and size... not to mention 48 twists should NOT HAVE TAKEN 7 HOURS they need to go back to braiding school. I had yo come back after further review and change to 1 star I provided pictures and a parting guide for my head there us NO REASON why thus took so long and did not come out exactly as I asked for and to sit there any longer would gave been a further waste of my time.
Update: spoke with the owner came I'm and had a full redo. It's a night and day difference if I ever go back ill only be working with 2 particular braiders in this shop
