Best KPortal Reviews

I stayed a few nights this past week the location is very convenient and easy parking, the room was put together and clean but the roaches running around where enough for me to be concerned, also having the breakfast that was only waffles, orange juice coffee cold bagels and a few strawberry bananas yogurt the man came out with a mean look and very aggressive told us we can't take food to our rooms. If you really need a place to sleep I recommend but to plan a visit i would say try another hotel. Thank you.
I had 0 issues here. Checkin was easy. Nice staff.
Room was clean. No hair , no bugs, clean sheets, clean bathroom. Smelled good.
Yes this is an older motel, but for the price very good. You can pullup to your room, but my experience was good. Fresh paint to walls. Room was clean. Good Spectrum cable. Refrigerator and microwave new in room.
Yes its by the highway and there is highway noise but all hotels are by i44 and would have noise. Bring a sound machine.
Lobby was fresh.
Security cameras all around, felt safe.
Breakfast was yogurt, toast, bagels, cereal, muffins , Danish waffle machine.
Orange juice. Milk, coffee, hot tea.
Will return again.
Thank you.
Oh man.. Where do I begin? Buckle up because this review is about to be a bumpy ride. First off, almost everyone who works here talks to & treats people like they are below them. If you ask them a question, you will receive an immediate disgruntled look & a response as if you have bothered them greatly & should not ask them anything further. Whoever said this place was family friendly.. I guess my family must have missed the memo! We have been to many different hotels & have never been treated like we were at this place. Not even close. The main lady who seems to handle most things here talked to me like I was an idiot & waved her finger around at me as if I was a child. My kiddos & I didn’t receive a single smile from anyone here, nor were we offered any sort of warm welcome in any way, shape or form from a single worker. Not only was the hospitality lacking greatly, but the breakfast & room were just as bad! The beds were, by far, the hardest bed I’ve ever laid on. Both my kids & myself woke up with back pain. Every single blanket/sheet was covered in cigarette burn holes as well.. in a room that was supposed to be non-smoking yet had an ashtray. As for the breakfast, they are very adamant about not bringing your food back to your room. So if you’ve got a little one that isn’t awake yet but might eat later, you’re out of luck on bringing food back for them. Not much to bring back anyway! While there were the typical amount of items you see at a breakfast offered by a lower priced hotel.. everything was stale, old or gone. & we got there early! When I asked for just a small cup of milk, the worker brought out enough for half of a cup.. if that! I decided it was best not to ask for anything else. Oh & don’t get me started on the orange juice! Multiple people came in to get some & everyone said the exact same thing.. it tasted as if it was all water with the tiniest hint of juice mix. I’m all for juice mixes, but someone was definitely being very skeet about using the proper juice to water ratio. & one final thing, my child is on the spectrum. He is 2. He has a tendency to stay up later than most 2 year olds & he does have his tantrums. Again, he’s 2! I do understand that listening to a toddler cry late at night isn’t what guests are hoping for when they pay for their stay though, so the two times that he started to get loud, I quickly brought him outside to the car to let him get his emotions out & calm down. Apparently that wasn’t enough though because the hotel tried calling around 11 to tell me that someone had called with a noise complaint. What was interesting though was that there wasn’t a person in either of the rooms next to us, & the people who were the closest to us a few rooms down were not bothered by my son at all. They actually said they never heard him the entire time. So I honestly believe it was the worker who was complaining.. not anyone else. Oh yeah, the hot water is cold & the cold water is hot in the shower.. at least in the room I was in. So if the water isn’t getting hot, just flip it to the opposite side.. ya know, the cold side. Because that makes sense right? I’m not usually one to complain or even leave reviews, but I think everyone needs to know the TRUTH about this place. If you ask anyone in town who has stayed here what they think of it, they’ll all tell you the same thing.. & none of it is good. Hopefully this review is read by someone there & they’ll turn their frowns upside down & start showing their guests a little more kindness. Lord knows this world needs it!
We are out of town and booked one night at the hotel. Came early and paid $20.00 extra to get in our room. That's ok cause we were earlier than expected. I asked for extra flat sheets and blankets. He would not give us any extra. If you need ice they do it for you and they take it to the back room. Not easy access. I would not take a shower cause if you seen the bathtub it was all yellow and looked dirty and sheets didn't look the greatest/old/ not crisp for a hotel We needed assistance on our vehicle/battery. Asked for some assistance at the front office and basically shrugged shoulders. No advise no nothing. We had jumper cables. All we needed was a jump. We called AAA and they were there within the hour. Thank you AAA
We walk in lady didnt even say hi, asked one bed or two beds, i said we actually have some questions first because we were reading you're reviews and she wouldn't rent us a room because I wanted to ask questions about their reviews, where I saw mentions of roaches. Lady (short brown hair, glasses) was very rude. You deserve 0 stars not worth 50 dollars.
We stayed for a Sat night to be close to Meramec Caverns for a visit the next day. Checked in late. Was greeted by a cute couple from India, I am guessing the owners, and all went smooth. Room was pleasantly decorated with fresh paint, newer carpet and furniture. Had all the basics, king bed, microwave, mini fridge, flat screen, coffee/coffee maker, blow dryer. Bed was clean with comfy pillows and comfy bed, place was quiet-we both slept like like logs right through breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Shower had great pressure and hot water right away. We have paid far more for far less. The place is older but well maintained. I would highly recommend. Oh, It's also pet friendly although we did not have any. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Price not bad but we refused 1st room as it was dirty. Sheets were dirty & Bathtub was full of hair. Dusty and an mostly drank bottle of booze on floor.
They gave us another room. The guy was nice about it.
It was adequate for the price. But motel is older & worn a bit. And the traffic is very loud.
For the price of a $400 week the rooms aren't that bad. There is a language barrier that makes service difficult for both hosts and myself, they do speak English but I have difficulty understanding what they are saying sometimes. I have been renting a room by the week for a little over a month now, without any major hangups. As for the location I can walk anywhere I may need to go.. the establishment is located across the interstate from all kinds of fast food and shopping and conveniently located near Jimmy John's, Domino's, and the pie place, plus a gas station.. rooms are around $60 a night and they got waffles for breakfast same as a person would get at a Wyndham hotel
