Driving up to Chicago from Texas, decided to pull over for gas. Boy am I happy I stopped here! This place has the best pork chops I've ever had. 1 ½ thick pork chop was so tender and juicy. The pot roast equally as tender and juicy. This is a buffet, but they have to have a butcher in back, how can it be this tasty

Never, have I had such a terrible encounter with a hostess let alone the owner of the establishment! My family eight of us, all adult's chose to meet at American Steakhouse for lunch. We all live in different areas of Missouri and Tennessee and chose this place because it was centrally located. Upon arriving the owner “Misty/hostess” told my brother in law we would need to wait for seating, all the while people were walking in and seating themselves. Finally she pointed to a table of 4 and a table behind it was a table of 6. He asked do you have a table that will seat us all she said “no and you all wouldn’t be able to talk and converse at a table that large if I had one.” He then asked “ well could we put these tables together we’d still like to sit together as a family?” She threw a fit huffing and puffing and said “No!! They have to stay like they are!!!” My Brother in Law turned away to look at us and made a fed up face as we began to walk to the 2 tables my family would sit at. This owner/ hostess then walked from behind the counter grabbing my brother in laws arm spinning him around and told him “ you don’t have to eat here!” He said “ no we’ll set separately”

My family at this point wanted to leave but not being from the area and knowing where we might eat on Sunday we chose to stay. If an employee had treated/ spoken to a guest like this they would have lost their job. She was absolutely horrible!!!!! Our waitress Lisa was pleasant and accommodating. She had witnessed how the owner had treated us and it made her uncomfortable. The food was bland and under seasoned. 2 of my family members had fried chicken that wasn’t cooked through. The buffet was clean and food kept fresh. All mediocre at best! We won’t return to this restaurant! First impressions will kill a business in time.

Stopped in to check this place out and my what a find. There was a salad bar and a food bar. The food was fresh, delicious, hot and a good variety to pick from. I can't remember our waitress's name but she was very nice and took good care of us. Will for sure eat here again.????????????????????

The food is phenomenal as always. They have U.S. grown catfish, need I say more. You won't be disappointed. Again, we are never disappointed.

Always a great and pleasant atmosphere; a great place to meet with family, friends, or any other associates for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or supper. Order in, or take out is great; may need more if you have a late night craving.

$9.99 for an 11month old to eat at the buffet!! That is ridiculous. They no longer have a toddler pricing for the buffet. That is just absurd. We drive and hour and a half to eat here, always tip very well, put a blanket down so our son doesn’t make a mess on the floor and use sanitizing wipes on the tables before we leave. We have always treated this place like family as they have always treated us this way before but $9.99 for an 11 month old is just criminal.
