First time and never coming back. The service is terrible. No hello. No greeting. Rather grumpy old male and female working. I got my order and it was tiny af. Rib was cut off like it has been eaten. 1 slice of thin meat and 2 chickens. Terrible taste. Bot worth $18 food for a mini portion. Rip off and fraud. The other bbq across from the burrito place a block from this terriblenplace has bigger portion and less price. Dont say I didnt warn you.
This was the best fast service Hawaiian BBQ I’ve ever had. We ordered the Kailua Pork and Chicken Katsu and they were both delicious. The pork was really juicy and tender, very flavorful without too much salt. Additionally the fried chicken was really tender and “clean”, clearly fried with fresh oil.
The proportions were great for the price. Unless your absolutely starving I suggest the “mini” size is plenty big for full meal as it comes with rice and salad.
We ordered our food thru DoorDash out of desperation because it was getting late and we couldn’t drive anywhere from our motel.
Turns out we made a great decision, our food was hot, fresh, and delicious.

Affordable and tasty comfort foods made with love. All the Musubi are delicious, especially the spam and katsu chicken. Mac salad goes with everything ???????? mostly a takeout operation.
I don’t know why this place have over 4 stars, but the food is super mediocre. Everything is so salty, the ribs from trader joe are way better and cheaper than here. Do not recommend.
Not fresh at all! Chicken katsu, bbq beef and shredded cabbage were old tasting. Service is disorganized. Overall not a good experience, I do not recommend this business
Consistently good food at reasonable prices in a great neighborhood spot. Portions are generous and the staff is always friendly. Variety of offerings available. We have been coming here for years and very happy that the pandemic did not force them to close because we look forward to many more years of satisfying our cravings for "ono grinds" ????????
Bbq beef was good and there musibi combo was on point
Don’t recommend this places. Workers are rude and treat you with no respect. Its one of those places where you go and they just keep and eye on you like you’re about steal something, or a place where you are short 50 cents they will cancel your whole order because you’re short. Plus they say 10 minutes it actually took 19 minutes. Go down the street less than a half mile to Hawaiian Drive-in, way better Hawaiian food and much affordable.
