This is the worst experience every. I don't understand how you can be in customer service and be so rude, and a have a nasty approach while dealing with a customer. A child answer the phone and did not know how to handle answering simple questions. she handed the phone to someone else while talking
about me with her co- worker. The next representative had a sweet mother approach and try to resolve the issue best as she could. I never got to order. Mind you this is for the city public officials. As a black man trying to bring business to the black business owner you spit in our faces by having this as the face of your business. Please fix it.
The barbecue sauce is watered out. The barbecue meat is tough. I’m glad I have some teeth. The french fries were not done. They gave me a link and I asked for chicken I had a combo. I will definitely not be going back wasting my time or my money on that dump.
The quality of the food has went down dramatically. I ordered around lunch today and informed the very rude lady my past few orders was burnt. You would have think I would have gotten somewhat a decent order. The hot links were hard with a white color meat inside and the rib tips burnt. You would expect with the price increase comes a better product. Complete opposite. Lost a lifetime customer and I’m sure many more are following.
Well actually I was with my brother-in-law late afternoon
He was driving to find something to eat until he mentioned Alice's Bar-B-Que
He wanted to go to get her famous hot links with bread and fries found parking I stayed in the car he went in to make an order there was a wait there was a line.....
he got his order as soon as he began to open his driver's side

Hot links in his bag smells so delicious... Please listen to me everyone I know we just met but please trust me to place is the spot to get barbecue ribs hot links etc.

A BBQ restaurant that has stood the test of time to become a steeple of the Bronzeville community. Tho many salute this for how well it's prepared and it is done well. Tender, not fall off the bone but tender enough that the meat isn't fighting u back. My gripe is with how it's season. It's not flavorful. Mostly the meat is carried by the smoky flavor from being barbecued with mesquite wood. Then there's the problem with the sauce. It's lacking flavor as well. I know some BBQ places do this because they want the sauce to carry the meat. I get that but when all the flavors are married and it's still lacking, it's just meh. Like I said the old heads love it but I've had better. If u have a taste for BBQ, then this place will indeed scratch the itch but stop somewhere and grab some better sauce first.
I been here twice, and the ribs were really good and tender the first time, but the second time was horrible. The ribs were tough and chewy, and I just threw them away and decided not to go back again. All it takes is one time for my food to taste bad after spending over $20 for it. I will never go back 5/10
My granddaughter ordered for me a small combo the hot link was good the BBQ tips was hard and burnt unevenly cut scant amount of sauce poorly pack just thrown into the container this is the second time I’ve experienced this type of service. Won’t go back ever I was also charged 25;00 for a small conbo
I couldn't even get out with the food the old lady with the Demon eyes had a terrible attitude and she was old. This was my first time there and the last u til they get rid of her. I support my black business but not when the service that bad. Put her on clean up detail!!!!
