What a warm and welcoming gem of a place! We often struggle to find somewhere that has a good gluten free selection, the choice here was first class! Delicious lemon drizzle cake and free sample of GF cherry chocolate brownie which was heaven! Good selection of vegan delights too. Coffee is amazing and daughter devoured her ice cream! Atmosphere is so friendly and even the dog got a treat! Marion and Paul are wonderful hosts, Paul even kept my daughter entertained with his origami bird making when she was getting restless! Staff super friendly. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend!
Great food, great coffee and a great atmosphere. Dog friendly too! Log burner inside and an outdoor seating area for those sunny days.
It’s such a warm and welcoming place where you feel like you’re visiting old friends and meet new friends as there’s such a sense of being a community hub, especially amongst the doggy people. Just a nice place to be what nourishes the belly and the soul.
Beautiful friendly little cafe with the best Moroccan bean soup I’ve had (and we love visiting/eating in Morocco)!!
Staff is great and they sell local art and coffee beans! Great stop for a quick lunch in a relaxed small village.
What a fantastic little gem this place is. My friend and I initially went in to get stamps for the West Highland Way. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the staff were encouraging about our walk. Unfortunately storm Kathleen hit and we had to turn back so we went back to Alfie & Co. Marion secured us transport back to Milngavie after making several calls and posts to get us help. She really went over and above in our hour of need.
We had somewhere to put our rucksacks while we made ourselves comfortable by a lovely warm fire.
The food was excellent, in fact my friend went back for seconds!
The hot chocolate was to die for!
We will definitely be calling back for a visit when we return to do the West Highland Way.
Thank you Marion, Alfie & Co!

Today I discovered an incredible Mochaccino experience, never before did I get the opportunity to stir in this Belgian chocolate on a stick in my delicious, smooth & intense coffee. This was by far the best Mocha, I felt so privileged to enjoy it.
My partner went for the Mince & Tatties offering complimented with lovely soft & crispy Bread, I sampled some of it & found it delicious, the gravy/stock so full of flavour!.
Her Earl Gray tea, served up in a lovely generous ceramic teapot enabled her to enjoy her hot top ups throughout our meal.
I went for the Waffles with summer fruits, chocolate mousse & maple syrup, all I found so fresh, moist & tasty! - a rare treat for myself.
This was exactly what we both needed after a beautiful long Autumn walk.
Our grateful thanks to all the lovely & friendly staff at Alfie & Co.
We’ll be back!
This was the first time I visited the cafe, which has just recently opened, with my partner. My first impression of the cafe was one of a pleasant, comfortable ambience. We both ordered soup, which was delicious. My partner said it was the best soup she had tasted, and that is saying something. We then had coffee and cake, which was a taste sensation. The waitresses were very nice and chatty. There was no rush. They gave us time to relax and select our choice of food before taking our order. It made a change from the usual instant service where they appear to be trying to get you served and out the door as soon as possible. The staff chatted with us, but it was not intrusive. It was relaxed, friendly and natural. For coffee lovers, this cafe should be on your tick list as they roast their own beans. For people who enjoy good food, this should be on your tick list. For people who enjoy good coffee, good food and a nice setting, this should be on your tick list. There is a small giftshop where there are nice gifts to be purchased along with their own coffee beans. There is also a rather pretty outdoor seating area at the rear of the cafe for good weather. Unfortunately, this was not the day for that. On saying that, I will be back, hopefully, on a sunny day.
We ate some waffles for breakfast and it was super tasty! There're a lot of different home-cooked meals and cakes. Even vegan and vegetarian friendly. The service was excellent and everybody was super welcoming and nice. They have also some guides for hiking in the bookshelf, so you can drink a coffee and inform yourself for the next steps:)
A really great and cosy atmosphere! I can highly recommend it ????
Great wee find. Coffee and food both amazing and made to feel really welcome. Lovely garden area out the back too! Will be back! If you’re doing the West highland way and looking for a good place in Drymen this is the place to go!
