Alex's is always our go to. Nothing compares to a proper Greek soup when I'm not feeling well or a sandwich when you want something you know will make you happy. LOVE the changes to the new menu and that now I can just pop in for a snack or drink too.
Had the "Dirty Alex". A big beast of a sandwich, like a young Nile crocodile. Contained different meats, egg and halloumi in a great sandwich bread drenched in enough sesame to choke a small mammal. The bread was toasted on the outside but with a yielding centre and each and every member of the main cast on the inside played a distinct role, from the loukaniko sausages to the egg. The sandwich is probably missing some sort of zingy sauce to elevate it to godly status, so unfortunately I can "only" call it an "excellent" sandwich.
Also had some Trahana soup. slightly fermented and lemony flavours. Really unusual flavours but rather tasty. Would recommend. Massive portion though and my mistake was to try and tackle both the sandwich and the soup. I'm writing this review 4 hours later and I still feel pregnant.

WOW! Where do I start? I had the privilege of visiting this lovely place yesterday, and was greeted by two lovely staff (sorry forgotten your names). The restaurant was spotless, clean & very well organised. The decor was a beautiful touch too. We ordered the most flavoursome, filling & tastiest cypriot "Dirty Alex" sandwiches ever had. They were so generous with their portions that we had so cut in half to save for another day. In addition, the iced coffee outdoes any iced coffee I've had, its delicious, not too strong, not too sweet, the right balance. And the koupes...chefs kiss ????.
They also had some delicious lemon refreshing drink which went nicely with our sandwiches.

I’m not really a sandwich type person but let me tell you the halloumi sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve ever had, definitely worth the journey there! will definitely go back ! also the little girl filling up the drinks fridge today did a very good jo!
Amazing food, amazing service great atmosphere highly recommend this place. Definitely has the whole package you want for an amazing experience.
Met Alex the owner and was shown great hospitality and the food is absolute divine! Honestly best sandwich you'll ever get.
If you are missing Cyprus and need a little hit this is the place to go. You can tell the owners love what they do here. From the soups the the sandwiches and chinos. Everything on the menu is delicious and the portions are proper. Writing this review has made me want to go get a lounza halloumi cucumber and tomatoes sandwich NOW! ????
Contrary to a previous review. I have just demolished a salt beef Beigel . It was amazing hot fresh and tasty. Sliced thickly with mustard and tangy gerkins. The best in North London!!!
