In town for business, we stumbled across the Ale Emporium. It came highly recommended by some locals so we decided to give it a try.
It was busy when we arrived and there was a band setting up. We were told seating was open but we quickly found a table by the bar. Within five minutes, a server stopped by to deliver menus. I am not sure how he could tell we just sat down, other than he knew the room. Either way, he said he would be right back to get us started.
A quick glance at the beer list and we were very impressed. They list all the local Indy beers together, Indiana beers, and then everything else. It is always fun to try local craft beers and the Ale Emporium made it easy.
When our server came back, we were only ready for drinks as we could not decide on food. Even though he looked very busy, he never made us feel rushed or get annoyed (he very well could have with how busy it was). In just a few minutes, he was back with the beer and took our food order.
The apps came out quickly and tasted wonderful. While we waited we had a few other employees ask if there was anything we needed. Everyone we met was friendly and extremely helpful. You can tell they all care and work well as a team to make sure the customer has a wonderful experience.
Our food was delivered quickly with the same enthusiasm and care as the rest of the night. Our meals were wonderfully prepared. As with the rest of the evening, care was taken to make sure we had a wonderful experience.
Shortly after we sat down, the band started to play. I am not sure who they were, but they had a great mix. We could only see part of the crew, but it appeared to be a large band. There were different singers and each one was as good as the last.
Overall, the experience at Ale Emporium was fantastic. From the food to the team, they did not disappoint. I would suggest them to anyone in the area looking for a fun and relaxed evening.
One of my favorite places to visit
I first came to this location back in 2013.
The food is still amazing. Service is great love to be able to watch multiple sports at the same time. First time I went there my friends and I devoured about 20 pounds of chicken time during a business meeting and I’ve always enjoyed this location every…
Make sure you always check the menu for specials and new arrivals of variety of food options, drinks are always good and mixed right the way i like them…
I entered when they opened. I have never been here before. I was told it was open seating. The place was empty so I sat a a tall table. This lady in a green jacket asked how many was in my party. I said just me. She asked me to move to a smaller table. I thought this was a little odd because I was just told it was open seating. But anyway my server was kool wings were really good… and the fries should just be free. Based off their flavor. Overall it was ok.
Great wings- minimal breading and large pieces on the boneless and the appetizer sampler is very good price/taste!
Sampler and regular boneless wings were enough for 2 with nearly a meal in leftovers.
There is also a nice patio.
There was good live music but it was a bit loud so people were moving to the other side of the patio to be able to talk.
Best Pizza in Indianapolis!
Thin crust, extra sauce, extra bake so it's crispy but not burnt.
Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushroom & Green Pepper!
Stopped in for dinner before the Time Travelers played and had the Ale Hearty burger with fries and a Miller lite draft.
The food was fantastic and the band was great.
Their Hermanaki wings are fantastic. The Bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños are da bomb, we ended up getting 2 orders of them.
We went for the Tuesday night special, which I think was steak and potatoes with 2 sides, but I don't remember exactly how much (it was a great deal though).
It was jam-packed, like you couldn't hear yourself talk or think type of packed. You had to shout to get your server to hear you. There were TVs lining the walls, all playing different sports.
The food was delicious. The steak was unbelievable. They were out of mashed potatoes so I had fries and they were perfectly salted. My dad and his friend both had baked potatoes and liked them a lot. My dad couldn't stop RAVING about the steak. He said it was melt-in-your-mouth perfect.
Dad tried the Zombie Dust beer and really liked it. It apparently had notes of grapefruit and pineapple. It was very unique. I tried the cherry limeade cider and it was pretty good, too.
All in all we had an excellent experience and are planning to go again! ????
