Just had the most delicious kipper, ever from this smoke house. Just wish we lived closer. The noon tart and the blue cheese were equally delicious.
Sea food is good. But staff inexperienced. « Sir sorry I can’t measure grams » lol. «- how to cook a lobster on the bbq - sorry I don’t bbq »; « -can you open lobster in half? - no i don’t like doing that » . Also priced are off the chart. Ok but can do quite better.
Good quality fish and chips. Some menu items, especially drinks, seem rather adventurously priced. Canny diners will pick up a bottle of wine from the supermarket in town, along with some paper cups, and enjoy their takeaway fish & chips sitting on the harbour wall. ????????????????
Unbelievably AMAZING smoked seafood. Everything I bought was probably the best I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot). If you find yourself in Aldeburgh do not miss this.
The smoked Salmon is to die for as are the pies I tried. Noon pie in particular is worth saving until you get home and heating up for 15mins where it turns into an absolute treat.

I bought a tub of smoked salmon and trout paté. It was excellent!
We visited the smoke house quite by chance as we walked along the front last Sunday, 28th June. We bought two Noon pies which are made with smoked haddock, shallots and cheese with a cream sauce. We ate them sitting on the sea wall and they were absolutely delicious. We also had a smoked fish platter which was very tasty. We so enjoyed the pies that we bought two more to bring home and enjoyed them a couple of days later and wished we lived nearer so that we could buy some more! A good reason for a return trip to Aldeburgh! Thank you.

An absolute gem. Everything super fresh, tastes amazing and prices are reasonable enough that you want to go back for more.
