Met my sister here for brunch last month, and we really enjoyed it. We ordered breakfast—a lot of good food for a reasonable price. The staff knew we were from out of town, and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is your typical small town diner, which is exactly what we wanted. An overall lovely experience, and I’m sure we will meet here again!
Opened since 1979, this town square diner serves a mean breakfast. This is how you start your day early, when it’s 26 degrees outside!
Food bland, no seasoning. I asked for sausage breakfast patties, ended up with a tasteless brick of something (brick pictured). The best thing about the meal was the 2 scrambled eggs and the toast. Definitely not worth $8.20. Would not recommend this place.
Good breakfast food, omelette was good and reasonably priced. Good service as well. I’d come back.
I had high expectations based upon the history of the place. Stopped in at 9:30 on a Friday and noticed there was only 2 empty tables. The portions and prices are exceptionally great.
I'm guessing from the looks we received from other patrons that we aren't the "typical" customers you would see here. Or, it could be that we just aren't "regulars" because the staff honestly knew the names and orders of everyone walking in the door! Lol. The server was super friendly. The food was delicious. The cook is holding it down all by herself and doing an amazing job! This is home cooking at its finest. We would definitely come here again, if we're ever back in this area!
Really don't know what the hype is about this place ? Service and prices are good no question about that but the food quality is below average and cleanliness is not impressive. We probably won't be back. We have tried it 3 times and the first time we had a party of 8 no one was impressed but after today we are done been there done that.
5/4/24.Stopped in for lunch today. Ordered a Rueben and onion rings. They were a little greasy, but OK. Not quite sure what I got, but it WAS NOT a Rueben. Had regular beef roast or brisket. It was good, very tender and tasty but it wasn't corned beef or pastrami as it should be. Don't remember if they made it with rye bread or what. Swiss cheese or provolone---not sure of that either. 1000 island dressing was real good. Homemade, but had to wait for them to make it. Sandwich should have been warmed up, but it wasn't worth it. Don't get me wrong it was still a good sandwich, but far from the posted Rueben on the menu. I'll keep eliminating items. Tenderloin was real good a few weeks ago.
April-----Breakfast just didn't compare. I'll go back, but I'll not have what I had. Biscuits and gravy. Sorry guys on both reviews.
