My 4yo daughter goes to speech therapy to McCollum elementary. She gets picked up from her childcare and taken there. I just wanted to thank Mr. Ron, her old bus driver.
She was a wreck with the idea of going on a bus and being taken somewhere new. She’s a very attached child and doesn’t do well with transitions and he played such an important role in helping her be comfortable with the transition. She has since gotten a new driver, but she still tells me how much she liked Mr. Ron and how every time she was on the bus she would talk to him about everything. As a parent I can not thank him enough for helping my girl through such a tough time.
Do not work for them. They pay $24 an hour but force you to divide your check though out the whole year, you’ll make less than $600 every 2-3 weeks since they have a new way of paying every 10-25 of each month. Also you have a contract and cannot work for another bus company during the summer. It is a scam that only works for someone that has extra income coming their way.
The bus helps out so much I appreciate the help. It sucks to be told by the principal that we can lose the bus if we we keep calling them because we are sick or had to get a different ride for a reason,thinking this is very harsh.
Bus #246 on Wednesday November 15, 2023 ran a stop sign in the neighborhood by Sierra vista school and all most t boned my car with me and my wife in the car. Very unprofessional!!
If you see an APS school bus near Unser, look out! 1165 is the bus number. Dude ran a red light while talking on his phone and nearly killed us.
APS Transportation Department REFUSES to accommodate the best interest needs of an Autistic child... adding more difficulty to a family recovering from homelessness. Just because we got a home now they won't transport him to the school he's been attending for the last 5 years because of a zip code difference. Yeah that doesn't show care. they are unaccountable lip service.
With the pandemic it's been hard for APS to keep up with schedule. Kids are not being picked up in our area due to shortage of drivers. Virtual learning should be back in place for rural residents.
As a student that relies on public transportation the busses are always late to pick you up and drop you off just today I had to wait 45 minutes for the bus to get there and it took an hour to get to my bus stop that takes 20 minutes this is the worst public transportation and the bus drivers are always rude I know this because I’ve been taking Albuquerque public transportation for 8yrs
