I love coming here. My favorite item to get is a chicken fried steak, but everything on the menu is delish. I also love the fun and friendly staff! They are so amazing. Whenever I'm in town this is the spot I gravitate to for a great meal. They're always open a couple hours later that most Wallace eateries, and they have a full cocktail bar. Don't forget to check out the Pedro Chang's sign in the kitchen! Albi's is a Wallace icon and rich in it's history.
Beyond rude service. We were looking forward to our dining choice, then the second we walked through the door our experience went downhill. Fast. It was very hot and stuffy, odd smell. Our food took almost an hour, and was disappointing as well-nothing fancy or mouth watering for a $60 ticket for 2 people.
The waitress then asked if we were “serious? Only $X for a tip?” We were completely dumbfounded, she THEN decided to recall being at an establishment we were at 2 weeks prior and quoting our bill amount and “no tip.” Which was not only untrue but very odd as she did not work at the place she was referencing, almost creepy that she would be watching us that closely..She THEN went behind the bar and to the other waitresses and guests announced the amount of tip we had left. We were so uncomfortable, we couldn’t even finish our meals, and we were stared at as we left. When my significant other called to speak to the manager he spoke to the waitresses husband (Adam) and instead of discussing the unpleasant, rude and completely unprofessional incident Adam proceeded to hang up on us! This is such strange customer service, beyond baffling. We have been coming to this small, quaint town for weekend getaways for months now and we just feel very unwelcome. I will no longer be bringing my family, friends or children here. Sadly they have lost revenue coming into this sweet town with their low class, rude and trashy mentality.
Great steak at a great price. The bartender and his wife were great company on a slow rainy night. The place is clean, nice atmosphere, and friendly. The menu is not huge which allows for the food to be fresh and properly prepared. I will be back.
We were glad to see them open at 9pm on Saturday, June 27th. We had high hopes for this place. Sadly they did not deliver. For a steakhouse, their menu only offered one steak and a chicken fried steak. Wife and I sat in the bar area for dinner, since the restaurant part was loud, bar area wast really quiet either but it was not super busy. We ordered a few beverages and at the same time informed our server we were going to order food to go. I ordered the chicken fried steak w/fries and wife ordered the shrimp cocktail and salad. He brought our two drinks in a timely manner, which we appreciated. The server soon brought out my wife's shrimp cocktail and salad and immediately left the table. I guess we decided then we were going to have dinner there instead of our hotel room. Wife eventually finished her meal and we were still waiting for mine. Server never came back to check on us the entire time since delivering my wife's meal. Another server eventually brought out a meal in a to go box/bag and handed it to our server. He then brought it out to our table. I asked for the bill, paid it and we promptly left. We got to our room and I opened the box up to find a mess. The chicken fried steak wasn't breaded, just tasted like it was pan fried and greasy. The flavorless gravy was dumped on top of it and the paper liner inside. It was sloppy. Some greasy looking carrots were also in there and the fries were soggy. I lowered my standards because I was hungry and ate a few pieces of the steak. The steak was very tough and tasted greasy. I gave up and threw it all away. I'm extremely disappointed with this meal. If I had eaten in the restauraunt I would have sent it all back. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Any other place would be 10x better than Albi's.
Friendly owners and staff. We were driving across the country and couldn't find a place to eat as it was after 9pm. We were directed here by locals. This place has a lot of history and character. We ordered a mushroom burger and the ribeye. Both were delicious! Also, try the fry sauce!
We had the finger steaks and fish & chips.
We didn't even need any sauce for finger steaks. They were by far the best I have ever had.
I am always Leary of ordering fish but it was so tender and breaded in the kitchen. It was not greasy at all.
I would totally recommend visiting this place
We stopped late in the evening and discovered this gem. Warm greeting and very knowledgeable of the site bartender helped quickly to set us at ease. Ordered from the slightly quirky diner menu (Dirty Stack, mashed potatoes layered with grilled onions and roasted mushrooms, incredible).we had the Fish and Chips and their version of Salisbury Steak, both incredible with amazing slaw and fresh roasted carrots. Look forward to stopping next time we are anywhere close to Wallace.
Made reservations for dinner for 4, for Valentines Day. When we got there, they thought it was for 2...no big deal, they weren't busy so were able to accommodate us. The waitress took our drink orders and came back with drinks, we then ordered. We got our salads and soup about 5min later. After that, literally nothing for 40 minutes. Literally. No offer for additional drinks, no food order, nothing! We inquired, *politely, I promise. and were told that the kitchen only had half of our order...and none of it was ready. Needless to say..horrible service, horrible follow up and I wish I could comment on the food...but there was no opportunity. Avoid this place!! Ridiculous service. Go to the Outlaw bar in Mullan instead!!!
