Best KPortal Reviews
I'm really glad to do a review of here. First time we've been and to be honest, we where very impressed, breakfast we had was absolutely delicious, lots of it, very tasty and very good value. Staff where, well, exceptional, especially the young lady in photo. She really was very pleasant. What stood out to me, was, when I was waiting by the entrance door for my wife, I spotted a gentleman just outside waiting to come in on a mobility scooter. A young lady dressed in all black (uniform?) spotted him and put down what she was taking to another customer and went straight to the door and assisted him in. Bravo and well done. I'm a Foster care for disabled and those are the sort of things we look out for.... Would I recommend this eatery,... You bet! I'll be back soon as well. Thank you for your lovely service.
- ???? I recommend 100% the Beef Wellington! It was absolutely delicious!
- ???? I only wish there were green vegetables served with the dish. I ended up asking for a Caesar salad, but it wasn't as delicious as the Beef Wellington.
- ???? The service was exceptional, and the ambiance with live music was fantastic! The pop music and the singer were very good.
- ???? The only downside was that the restaurant doesn't allow dogs. I was surprised because I had read that the restaurant was very pet-friendly. I'm sorry to hear that; next time I'll think twice about coming here.
Came here a couple of times between Christmas and New Year and loved it each time we came.
The staff were all really friendly, attentive, and quick to serve.
They have a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits, even having my favourite cherry beer from Belgium.
We only tried the bratwurst and fries, but wow, it was delicious! The sausage was so full of flavour, and the accompanying pickles and bun really enhanced the enjoyment of the food. The chips were lovely and crispy with fluffy centres, and oh so moreish!
We really enjoyed the decor inside, too, loving the large bar and high open ceilings.
Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area, I know we will be back for sure!
We stopped by here last night and had a great time. The atmosphere was great, with live music on whilst we were there. The service was friendly and prompt. All of the food came hot and it was all full of flavour. We tried a few different things. The garlic bread was so tasty and soft. The alpine krokettes were light and fluffy, whilst packed with a nice cheese flavour. The bier onion soup was packed with flavour and looked great when it came to the table with the 'top hat' on it. The schnitzel and bratwursts were both cooked to perfection and came with some tasty sides. I loved the aioli too.
We had a staff Christmas party at Albert’s Schloss and it was perfect from the start to the finish!! The food was amazing we all had different meals and all of us enjoyed it so much. The portion sizes were incredible. Service and entertainment were immaculate. I highly recommend this place!
I came for a Christmas lunch with work colleagues and the staff who served us were polite and helpful. The food (hummus and pickle, vegan burger and chips) was nice although the chips were very salty, but the portion sizes were good for the price. The service was a little slow and we were quite unhappy that a £25 optional service charge had been added to the bill but that it was up to us to ask for it to be taken off rather than the other way round.
I appreciate it is a large place and requires a lot of staff but some of the younger ladies collecting glasses and plates looked quite unhappy which is not great. I almost wanted to ask one if she was okay as she looked like she was about to cry - maybe a rude customer or a complaint? Perhaps management should keep a closer eye on younger staff and if you are too busy then employ more? Just a suggestion.
Probably would not return as it's not really my type of venue but I would recommend it to others.
I could be here for a while, Albert Schloss.. What can I say... Atmosphere is outstanding, funny, but busy, a nice busy. Staff very freindly.. What make Schloss is the fantastic bands that are on.. Such energy, great music.. Nothing beats a good Saturday night here.. If you get the chance get on the benches and dance the night away.. Fantastic.
I visited for a work's Christmas lunch and we had the festive menu. There was lots of choice and we were not disappointed. The turkey roast was gorgeous with lots of trimmings and gravy. My apple strudel with custard at the end was beautiful. We found it best to get our drinks from the bar to save on service charge. Great atmosphere with live music and fab service.
