Wow! It's difficult to get gluten free food, let alone food that tastes nice. This place is a rarety. I bought a cherry Bakewell muffin, sausage roll and a wheaten loaf.
Firstly the wheaten loaf seems to be the same oat recipe I make, and was nice, but could do with a little more salt.
The Bakewell muffin was incredible. Light and fluffy, with a delicious taste of almonds and cherry. The best I've ever tasted (even those with gluten)
Similarly, the sausage roll was absolutely superb. Light and crisp pastry and a perfectly balanced blend for the sausage meat.
I really don't want to go back as I'll probably buy everything and eat it all in one day.
The staff are very friendly chatty and keen to help.
Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough.

I had the best Scotch Egg there that I have eaten in years. Highly recommended! White loaf is excellent as are the sausage rolls. All GF!
Wow! I ordered a vegan, gluten free cake with lemon and raspberry icing and filling for a 40th Wedding Anniversary and every single person raved about it! I will definitely be back! Thank you for your wonderful skill!
First time at Albe’s yesterday, had chocolate cake and a coffee, absolutely delicious to be gluten and dairy free! Also bought a white loaf as it’s so hard to find a nice bread, I’ve half of it eaten already it is so soft and again wouldn't know it’s gf!

Great place for us weirdo's that can't have gluten. I will always head down for a traybake or some bread and if I'm lucky and have few sheckles in pocket after the missus hounds me for money I'll get a fry! Lovely staff with proper knowledge of celiac related problems.
It maybe a little shop but packs a hefty punch for a GF lifeline we all need! Would highly recommend!
After countless attempts to get a diabetic birthday cake made in time for my mums birthday within Belfast AlBe's in Bangor were the only bakery that were willing to go out of their way to produce the cake with no problems. We were more than delighted to receive a high quality and delicious birthday cake well in advance specifically as requested. We would be more than delighted to recommend this bakery to friends and family as well as anyone struggling to acquire a birthday cake suiting the dietary needs of those with diabetes.
Delicious gluten free scones, brownies and more. Very pleasant cafe in Bangor. Street parking free for an hour so easy to call in. Fantastic for those needing to avoid gluten but so tasty you wouldn't know the difference.
