Maria is one heck of a person!! In the best possible way. After hoping she'd be available to assist my mother and I during our first time in Juneau/Alaska, we had no idea how much of a special treat we were in for!????Besides fabulous drives, airport rides, wonderful anecdotes, conversations & recommendations, a special trip to the Arboretum and Shrine, eagle and bear watching (so divine!!!), picking us up at an ungodly hour for our return flight????, sweet treats, photos, and more delights...we sincerely appreciate(d) her warmth, sincerity and kindness above all! ♥️ Thank you so much, Maria. Maria was Awesome! Communication prior to our arrival in Juneau was excellent. Upon arrival in Juneau Maria contacted me to confirm, she met us as agreed to, right on time, she gave us a tour of downtown on our way out to Mendenhall glacier. She gave us tips for using our time there wisely and she was prompt picking us up for the ride back. We stopped on the way back to see numerous bald eagles. It was a great trip.
I had a disappointing experience with this company. Despite their self-explanatory name, their response time was shockingly slow, and their customer service was abysmal. I reached out for their service, but after weeks of no response, I made other arrangements. To my surprise, they contacted me almost two months later, seeking my business. They were very rude and treated me like I was an idiot. When they realized I didn't need their services, they wrote me a very rude message and blocked me from their Facebook page and chat which I thought was odd since I had been cordial. I assume they did this because they knew they were being very unprofessional. Overall, I am grateful I booked with someone else, this small experience was just a tiny glimpse of probably what it would have been to use their service and would have put a real damper on our trip.
Maria Miller was a great host and tour guide. She is very knowledgeable of Juneau, Douglas and the surrounding area. If we ever make it back I will definitely be calling Maria .
We were on a cruise to Juneau and took a tour with Maria. She is an awesome guide and very knowledgeable about the area. You could tell she really enjoys her job and is very passionate about the area she calls home.
I would highly recommend Maria Miller @ Alaska Taxi and Tours. Our excursion on our Royal Caribbean cruise was cancelled due to weather and Maria saved the day for us. She was able to take us to the Mendenhall glacier so we could experience seeing a glacier for the first time. She also picked us up and gave us a tour of downtown and stopped along the way to see the salmon running up the river and spotted bald eagles for us to see as well. This woman offered us an umbrella to use because of the rain. I would highly recommend her to anyone who would like to have a great experience while in Juneau Alaska. She deservers 10 stars for this review ! Thanks again Maria for saving the day for us.
Maria was wonderful! We had an early flight. We asked her to pick us up at 3:30am and she pulled in ten minutes early. ???? She was super friendly and more affordable than an Uber or Lyft.
Maria provided a ride last minute when Lyft and Uber fell through. Our early morning ride from Douglas to the airport was cheaper than Lyft. Maria arrived early and is passionate about her community. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Alaska Taxi & Tours!!
