Extremely spectacular fragrant quinine. The baba ghanoush is some of the best I’ve had in Chicago land if not my entire life. Highly recommend the family atmosphere, friendly staff, and grilled meats cooked to gastronomic perfection. The lamb particularly delicious and melts in mouth.
Going to bring some friends here and order one of the family platters. Cheers!
Our initial visit on April 10th was disappointing despite its reputation for exceptional food. We had eagerly ordered chicken haneeth and mutton mandi, but unfortunately received chicken mandi instead. Although the rice was commendable, the chicken was undercooked and emitted an unpleasant odor, lacking in flavor. Regrettably, our request for extra garlic sauce was overlooked. Despite the favorable experience with the mutton mandi, the overall dining experience did not justify the high prices. Bad customer service too and the person in register doesn’t care to take orders. For this we drove 45 mins. plates provided were unclean upon serving and the person serving did not acknowledge our greeting.
I’m sorry guys never visiting this again.
We just had our lunch at Al-Safa. Food was perfect to be very honest❤️ we ordered chicken Mandi , Haneeth Mandi and Arabic Shawarma. Mandi was so juicy and flavourful. If you eat spicy then go for Haneeth Mandi or else you can go for Chicken mandi if you eat mild food. Arabic shawarma was also A1 ⭐️ Highly recommended ????????
I ordered chicken haneeth for take out and the portion was huge. The chicken was charred to smoky perfection and packed with flavorful spices. I also got baba ganoush and it was absolutely amazing. The appetizer came with two big, warm pita. The person that took my order was friendly and gave great advice.
I recently dined at Al Safa Mediterranean restaurant with 22 family members, and it was an absolute delight! The staff exemplified professionalism and were incredibly accommodating, especially considering our late arrival. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, they ensured our reserved table was waiting for us, which was greatly appreciated.
Now, let's talk about the food—it was simply divine! The mutton with Mandi rice was a standout dish, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a culinary journey through the Mediterranean, leaving us craving for more.
Overall, our experience at Al Safa Mediterranean restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the impeccable service to the delectable cuisine, it's clear that this restaurant goes above and beyond to exceed their guests' expectations. We'll definitely be returning for another memorable dining experience!
Best Place to have Lamb Khabsa. Best arabic food. They have got the best hospitality. Mr. Ali was kind and helpful.
I’ve ordered mutton Mandi at this restaurant and it was all watery when being served, however the staff there is telling me is the mutton piece water in the rice.
I did have food at this restaurant before but it was never this worst.
Upon asking for a reason for the service provided, the casher offers a discount on the next bill.
I need good food not discount please!
Highly disappointed and now I feel puckish after spending and having food there.
Great food, we ordered Kabsa, haneeth and mutabak, everything was fresh and tasty. Owner is the chef of the place and his kids help with serving and are well behaved. I would recommend anyone looking for a yemeni/arab food option to try this place.
