Lots of seafood options compared to your typical Midwest Mexican restaurant. Really liked that the menu has a decent variety of options that are a bit lighter fare, or at least not smothered in cheese. Tried the fish ceviche, and it was bright and satisfying. The restaurant was kind of loud and hard to talk over the house music, but the service was solid. I'd be happy to try it again sometime, especially since it's conveniently located near some great local bars with easy parking in front of city hall.
Great day on the patio! Service was great, there was only one girl working (Thaiz) and she did amazing attending to all the tables that started off outside. The birria fries are amazing to share, and the al pastor street tacos were great. After sharing a margarita pitcher (only $18.99) we left happy and I know we’ll be back for more!
I ordered the Mojo de Ajo (garlic butter) Camarones with a Jamaica Margarita. The bartender did warn us beforehand that the marg would be more on the sweeter side. It was sweet and had more juice than actual tequila. I thought the shrimp would already be peeled. It was a struggle and messy peeling each one off! My fingers smelled of garlic even after I left. The rice and fries were already cold when the plate arrived so no point of eating it when all my focus was on the peeling. The shrimp was tasty despite all that. Service is good, they were very attentive.
Service was fenomenal.
The food here is really bad and overprice
The appetizer queso and chips they will give you a 3/4 oz plastic cup
And the ceviche and aguachiles has no flavor.
(I’m not exaggerating I literally had no flavor) other wise has potential to be better but I feel they are struggling with ends meet and it’s showing on the food.
The Al pastor was edible but had no char and not seasoned. The salsa was tomato juice and water with onions and cilantro added. A retirement home would have had better salsa. The food used to be so much better. It will be a while before I go back and to think I looked forward to this food.
Al Chile impressed us with their delicious quesabirria, birria tacos, shrimp ceviche, and refreshing horchata. Despite our late arrival, the service was fantastic, and the food arrived promptly. A fantastic choice for Mexican cuisine in Merriam!
We live and work near this business and we have seen it grow and improve since it first moved into this location. We love just about everything on the menu. We do prefer to carry out rather than to dine in, not only because we're busy people but also because the food seems to transport really well. If you've never tried ceviche, this is a great place to try it out. And if it turns out it's not your cup of tea, they have great tacos and even your kids are going to love the fries smothered in cheese and deliciousness. What's not to like?
First time in! Absolutely amazing experience, had some of the best Birria Tacos of my life! And an excellent margarita! Fair prices, friendly staff. Pleasant atmosphere!!!
